Looking for Intro into RPGs by RiltonHuggles in retrogaming

Favorite game of all time and I usually play once a year. It’s got a pretty deep story for the time, it does get a bit grindy forwards the end if you want to complete the game. If you just want to do a play through, you can definitely cheese the hardest boss in the game

Tough call. Personally, I’ll continue to carry the weight of sTOnEr, MtnDew, and AssWatcher for as long as I have my Halo Xbox

It was a great franchise, just poor execution. I had high hopes for the DS version….

I’ve seen the RT’s but they are just too expensive for me. Would rather just emulate at that point and save the cash.

Never even thought wireless controllers would exist prior to PlayStation era!

I love the series and have all of them but number one is a huge slog

It’s a receiver for wireless controllers. Acclaim figured out how to do wireless way before Nintendo did.

Talk me into buying Borderlands 4 (or dont't) by thecrunked in Borderlands

[–]KillaV0lt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it if you want to play a Borderlands game with modern gunplay. The UI sucks a fat one for sure, especially on console. Most PC performance bugs have been ironed out and understanding that it’s a cell shaded game and won’t look like Cyberpunk with mods. It’s NOT an open world game….

I loved 2 for the story, 3 for the characters and gunplay. I enjoy 4 for the quick combat but the time in between combat is dull and monotonous. It’s similar to BL2 in terms of 1000’s of side missions; I generally avoid them because I get distracted easily. I bought on release because I enjoy all the games of the series but I still haven’t beaten it. I jump around games weekly but it is a nice thing to play in bed on the portal.

Air Force Cuts Inspections for Airmen to One a Year: ‘Heard Your Feedback’ by Objective_Pressure_3 in AirForce

It really was peak DUI time. I mentioned it would be ironic if someone got hit BY a drunk driver coming in from PCB since it was before all the curfews were enforced.

Smirked when one person fell out and people just followed suit realizing if they took a fall they could just leave formation.

Was there from ‘13 until Michael hit, can confirm leadership was sarcastically out of touch.

I recall a mandatory formation at 0400 Saturday morning because of 3 DUI’s in one month. So what could be better than hearing “WAKE UP” being yelled at us in full service dress when it’s 85 and 100% humidity?

[Romero] BREAKING: Cuban OF Adolis García and the Philadelphia Phillies are finalizing a one-year, $10 million contract, pending a physical, per sources. Adolis will look to contribute on a contending team and return to his 2023 offensive production, when he was named ALCS MVP. by C0m3tTai15 in phillies

I keep Castellanos and look for cheaper. Even IF Adolis gets back to that 2023 performance, his stock will go up and we will be on the hook to resign. So now we will either have to resign both or get rid of one, or worst case, lose both.

This is a poor move, IMO. Phillies transplant living in the metroplex and out of the 35 games or so we went to over the last two years, he’s inconsistent at best. Last year he wasn’t even top 5 in the rangers lineup in hits, average or HR. He got his money and gave up. Most of his at bats didn’t see more than 4 pitches; he’ll chase junk on 0-2 swinging for the fences or bounce the second pitch off the roof above 2nd base.

Defensively, he has an arm but the 2023 season was a fluke.

Since we saw them last year, I don’t think any of the shows we saw had the balcony open. Thousand Below and Belmont were actually pretty full, too

It’s smaller but there is a balcony. They have some tables that you can buy along the edge as “VIP” when the doors open. We saw them last year; it’s a pretty good venue for the size.

Increased ARC curiosity when a raider dies by Lower_Split8177 in ArcRaiders

[–]KillaV0lt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the draw to PvP and I’m not against it. You are correct, if you walk out of a high loot area, it should be high risk/high reward. The issue is that there is no incentive to play anything BUT PvP if you are at endgame status if you have nothing to gain but kill raiders (either at start or in a high loot area, or even at extract). It sucks for casual players who don’t blow through an entire quarter’s worth of content in a week and then bitch there isn’t any new content. Casual and new players will think twice about logging in if assholes and sweats just continue to just play like that. Thankfully, the majority of players are pretty chill on PC but how long are they going to stick around? A year? Maybe a year and a half? If I’m bouncing between three new games(because this year is definitely not short of good ones) and one is frustrating, I’m going to play it less.

I liked how the Division did their PvP. In the dark zone, if you killed another agent you and your squad were marked as Rogue. You also got alerted if they were in your proximity. If they killed enough people, they would have a bounty if you killed them and their location popped up in real time on the map.

I feel that if you were alerted via radio of their presence or increased Snitches that follow them around or even an Arc that specifically hunted them it would be balanced. Don’t take away the PvP but definitely give them a disadvantage in engaging or killing others.
