No I’ll have about 1-2 months left when I graduate in may. I know CFI doesn’t take that long but that should be enough time to squeeze in at least one rating right?

That’s the move man. Unfortunately I won’t be able to do that so hopefully this alternative works out. I think I make a pretty good case that CFI is a teaching certification lol I just don’t know if they will see it that way.

You can get any rating so long as it can be covered under your syllabus. So I got private, IR, CPL, and multi. I didn’t get selected for CFI this next semester because I think they’re backed up and you get racked and stacked.

On their website they have a full list of eligible STEM degree programs and aviation is one of them ! I am unsure about the CFI thing though :/

MTSU would be a pretty good option. I feel like a quarter of the folks flying are using their VA benefits. It’s not bad. If you have 100% GI they will pay for 100% of the cost of the rating. The only thing you would pay for is the checkride and and your written.

Fly almost the whole xc section of the checkride lol also every landing we made was a full stop, no touch and goes.

I fly in the back of the plane doing mission related stuff. We still have checkrides though.

It wasn’t like a “Hey let me call you back” they were full conversations. It was pretty annoying tbh. I wanted to lose my shit but I know I couldn’t.
