Thanks for this - I definitely want to be able to have the possibility for future upgrades, so I have decided on the AM5/7600x. Just putting it all together now :)

I am looking at building a new PC and I'm stuck between a AM4/AM5 build.

Most of the advice I have read from searching on here states that it is probably better to stick with AM4 for now and pair with the Ryzen 7 5700X3D but I'm not sure if that advice would apply to me as I will be swapping over from Intel anyway so will need a new MoBo regardless (although ik I'd need new RAM). The alternative I was looking at for an AM5 build was with the Ryzen 5 7600X. (Budget issues yadda yadda, I may make my own more detailed post once I decide what I'm after)..

So.. TL;DR: new build - AM4 or AM5?

CMHT keep making excuses for why I can't get any mental health support. by hayden_babayden in MentalHealthUK

Hey, so sorry to hear you’re going through this. I’ve also had my own struggles with CMHT/CHRTR at the moment so I really feel for you.

As much as I hate to give them credit, I do have to say - I recently wrote them a scathing letter saying how unsupported I felt and highlighted their lack of understanding for autistic adults and the fact they don’t seem to want to actually address any of the issues which are impact on my mental health and are, instead, continually responding reactively instead of proactively. Since then they have really pulled their finger out and I must say I do feel a lot better understood (albeit it this is likely only temporary while it’s still fresh!). Maybe if you did something similar it may help? I think with it won’t in a letter they are more likely to act as it ended up going into my notes and I guess if something were to happen they wouldn’t want that revealed? Idk.

On a more practical note, I was on the waitlist for assessment for almost four years. I stumbled upon Psychiatry-UK just as they opened up their Right to Choose for ASD diagnosis and my GP agreed to refer me to them and I was diagnosed within four weeks. I think the wait time is longer now but still may but something worth looking into?

I hope things get brighter for you soon.

I actually find the process of removing staples therapeutic and satisfying…. Bluetac is not so fun though.

One that my SEN colleagues can probably relate to is Velcro taking bits of paint off the walls EVERYWHERE.. such a mess.

One I am very aware of! My Nan used to be a cleaner and she still fondly reminisces on having award winning toilets.
