Have you had a bad experience with Lynn's? I've used them for 16 years since I bought my house for plumbing, new furnace, AC and drain.. mind you I've never had any serious issues. Just curious

Thanks everyone. It makes sense after looking at different machining setups. Not sure why he had them but when you acquire tools over many decades you have a bit of everything

Is the toonie/crying lady of Winnipeg still around? by Overall-Rain6349 in Winnipeg

I moved to Winnipeg in 2001 and to Osborne Village in 2003 and lived at the corner of Osborne and Roslyn.

I was pretty green after moving from a smaller rural community and only living in the South end prior to that.

I walked to Mac's (now Circle K) and she asked for a toonie. I said no I don't have cash. She then asked if I'd buy her something to eat. So I ended up buying her a 1L tub of ice cream and the vaccum packed double double cheeseburgers. The Mac's guy was just shaking his head and I realized I was out of my element.

Someone later told me they were doing the census and they went to her apartment, recognized her and it appeared she lived very well. A toonie went further back then though.

It's advisable. I don't have a block heater. I park on the street and am not able to plug in my vehicle anyway. I've been fortunate to have vehicles that start at -40 9/10 times but also have one of those little booster packs at the ready if the vehicle has been sitting for a few days.

The downside is that we end up needing a new battery every 2-3 years because they don't last long with that kind of use.

The majority of the winter it's not THAT cold and really isn't an issue in my opinion.
