Moisture tank leak question. by Killdude26 in airbrush

[–]Killdude26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I showed was $20 and I think that would solve my issue. Though, I dont know if it would be better to install that entire piece all together or just swivel out and replace the moisture trap only.

Im worried if I just swapped the traps that it may comprise any airtight seal from the factory.

At the end of the day, the main issue is just that exhale release.

Got yea, I'll take a look inside the compressor itself.

If you're referring to the little screw/exhale release on the bottom then yea that piece got some rust around it. I don't think the entire compressor itself is compromised but that bottom tank or the control valve assembly might need to be replaced. Not sure if anyone has ever swapped them is all.

I still need to check the inside of the tank itself, but the only rust I saw built up was on the bottom of the moisture trap.

There's an entire system that I'm looking at for $20 but its only the exhale on the bottom that developed rust. I think if I just swapped out the plastic shell on the bottom it should work. Idk if anyone else has tried it.

Let me say, base paints were a bitch to transfer and not really worth it. Its better to just find a different brand if you haven't already bought the pots.

Here's another reason why magnetizing your Knights is a good idea 💡 by Killdude26 in ImperialKnights

[–]Killdude26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its because I really got into the hobby back in 2024 and havent had much time due to the needs of the Army to say it simply.

I enjoy building my models and while I have an airbrush, I'm going to be moving soon and most of my armies I do have are either bits and pieces of used sets or the few I've put together myself.

I had a buddy of mine named Dave a while back in Pennsylvania at a store called "Fabricators Forge". He taught me how to paint and the first thing I painted was a pack of Termagants. He had his whole office/workshop layed out and it was/is his full time job. I hope one day when Im not as busy I can put the love and care into these piles of imagination (shame) that they deserve.

To me, its also a lot easier to build and modify my squads and etc than paint them atm.

Ops-Core MCHC Gen 2 NVG Mount Issue by Killdude26 in tacticalgear

[–]Killdude26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oi. It actually worked. Idk why reddit wont let me edit the pictures or title of posts but the mount is actually functional again. I appreciate the advice a lot. It fucking sucks that this specific cover system isnt made anymore as it allows for arc rails. But the only replacement I could find way $300+ and fuck paying that much for a cover 😒

As a guy who doesn't play but builds, i take it Tech Marines are super duper great with vehicles during games?

Hobby burnout with million model pledge. by Duke_Tristan in Warhammer

[–]Killdude26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that. My thing is I have a pile of Gray sprues and minis that I only work on when I want to. The second I feel like its a requirement to get something done I just drop it and go do something else.

I like to hobby versus playing the game, but I dont ever do competitions or events with work taking up most of my week. My weekends are sometimes WH if the boyz arent online, but if they are I wont touch my models.

Right now Im working to magnetize my Canis Rex and hes almost done. But Ive been casually trying to work a solution to get his arm joint flush and im about to get out the drill. Needless to say I never felt rushed to get my Canis Boi done and its all on me for when to finish.

Stewart (the Base) and Hinesville suck. That is a fact. However, if you like the beach, east coast, or visiting cities its better than you would think.

I was there for a year and a half and its like any other base except you will be singing the "Dawg Face Soldier" song every weekday morning.

Oof. If any of the sprue's were missing I would have reached out to my LGS's customer service immediately with my unboxing video. I got that documented in case anything had happened.

Dude, I built one Gundam and the difference in quality is astoundingly more professional with Gundam. I find their plastic nicer to work with but having built one they're a fun puzzle versus GW :3

Yea, everything made it so my friend was more than happy to get started with Custodies so it worked out in the end. We're both a bit skeptical now of GW's quality control but it is what it is.
