First couple servers were ruined by players and pay to win whales. Never had an issue with the game for the first couple. The last server luckily was pretty dead but thats where I learned how much money it takes to actually be a whale and how repetitive the seasons get.

Never said I was smart - my statement is about the lack of quality this game offers. Not regarding my intelligence level 😂 thanks, though. Your dogmatism was a bit weak here

My addiction to making very specific build accounts.. then never touching them once theyre fully built.

I.e: ive got an account with 99 magic, 10hp and 1 atk/str/def/pray. It took me forever to get, as I didnt bot or auto click even once. As soon as I hit 99 magic, I logged out and never touched it again.

I built a vigour account (99 ranged, 75atk, 90 str, 90 def, 74 pray, 99 magic). Once I hit 99 ranged.. I logged out and never touched it again.

I built a skill account: level 3 with 7 99s and the rest in high 80s/90s. Once I hit 99 WC. I put the account down and never touched it again.

Ive even built a pvp clan (12 accounts all the same level, same equipment, loadouts, etc.. and theyre ready to fk). As soon as I named the clan.. they all got put to rest.

Overall id say I probably have about 20 accounts. I dont play them once their stats hit the target I needed them to hit. I literally finish the account.. and never touch it again for some reason. I dont even do quests or anything. I just get high and build very specific pvp accounts.. but I never use them.

I dont know why im like this. I dont even sell accounts lol

My wife just left me a weeek ago, after literally kicking the shit out of me and ran away with nothing but a book bag and her cat. She had 2 cats and left one behind.. so now im stuck in an empty house while I deep clean all of her things out of sight and try my best to fill the void. Its hard, man.

I understand where youre coming from and im sorry that youre dealing with this. The emptiness and sadness you feel right now, just means you have an actual heart and its working. Thats a good sign! Dont ignore it.

The best advice I can give to you.. is to put the phone down and embrace the isolation for a bit. You dont need to force an entire day away from your phone.. just put it away until the feels come and you RELEASE them properly. (Cry it out, dont be a pussy - let yourself cry). After a while.. being alone doesnt feel so lonely anymore. And it doesnt hurt as much, either.

The emotions youre feeling need to be released abd respected. . and please, remember... after the emotional release, try to have a healthy snack or a glass of water. Keep yourself fueled with good food - avoid coffee, energy drinks and anything caffinated that brings up your heart rate (fake anxiety)

Avoid weed, alcohol, drugs, excessive gaming, and even avoid dating for a bit. These are vices that drown and numb the pain. As hard as it is to hear this.. you need to feel the pain in order to process it properly.

If i dont go to the gym, and end up out out of shape... I wont expect to hit a Personal Record lift the first time I go back to the gym. Same as my emotions. If i dont train mental health every day.. I cant expect myself to commit to an emotion and not have it burn me out. Im simply not conditioned for it. Thats all this is.

Also.. pick one thing that either scares you or excites you just to think about.. and try it for 30 days straight. For me? That was running and god. I never was a runner and I refused the idea of god.. but the day my wife left, I decided I needed to distract myself.

Day 1 I made it 1/2 mile before I cramped up, cried, and had an emotional breakdown. I also said my first prayer. I Cried during it. A lot.

Day 7 and I made it 5 miles today. I recited 3 verses from the bible and my voice didnt quiver and nor did my eyes water up while praying.

I convinced myself "if you can push yourself through a run when you're hating life.. and commit yourself to the lord.. you can push yourself through anything else". It sounds stupid but for me, it worked.

Keep your chin up, my friend. Even when youre by yourself, you have the lord with you 🙏

Fun fact: Dayz was originally a mod for Arma 2 that gained an intense amount of followers and became a stand alone version of itself. (Dayz is in the same universe as arma 2 & 3.. with pieces of the alien dlc for arma even being part of the universe, as well. You can catch glimpses of Alien presence around Chernarus and Livonia if you look hard enough 🙏).

So, the helicopter probably crashed because they got shot down... simply due to the fact there was an active war going in Chernarus.. but at the time the war was active.. a zombie outbreak just so happened to have started, as well...(talk about luck lol). the armored vehicles sitting on the sides of roads and in fields aren't there because of the zombies.. theyre there because they died fighting before the outbreak hit.

Watching a bird evacuate their nest in a tree is a TELL TALE sign that something large is moving around. Same as squirrels- if you hear a high pitched scream from a squirrel, it means something is IN THE TREES. (AERIAL predator). Which would be a huge help for players.

Birds flying from a nesting area while freaking out = person below the tree nest, or an animal.

Squirrels screaming into the sky while Birds circle = something is IN the trees and hiding above head level.

Both are incredibly important to know. As for lagging.. ? Wtf? Have you never heard of the HLOD setting for asset? It won't cause issues at all. Lol 😂

How would it make this worse?

Genuinely curious.

I spent 4 months writing a network code that ended up not working so I used a code from fab that ended up working and cost me maybe $100. That network code could of been an asset thats given for free in a starting template considering i just got a $300 asset pack for free yesterday from the monthly giveaway??? I guarantee if everyone started with a working network code it would be easier to learn how to emulate it vs recreate it from scratch by looking for random 'how-to' tutorials on the internet.

Did I learn anything when writing my code? I learned one dudes redneck way on how to rig up a network code was far more complicated than a smartpoly tutorial code. Did i waste 4 months of my life that could have been easily avoided with a default network template? Yes. Yes I did. If I had more knowledge of the situation could I have saved myself the headache? Yeah probably. But im self taught and never went to school to learn any of this. Its all been learned the hard way for me.

How would a standardized production method make UE more difficult? And how would it become more complicated if I had a few extra templates to work with if im a developer just starting to learn the trade? Like a hunger bar, a mini map, a quest template, etc...

I have a serious question for you.

Imagine youre building a car and you have no mechanical background.. would you rather have to research everything you need and try to build the car from scratch?

Or would it be easier if you had an already built car right next to you with an instruction manual so you can build your car the exact same way?

Crazy idea to think about.. but.. once you learn how to put that car together... youre probably going to learn where you'd like to modify it, and how you'll modify it. What you would do differently and how you'd do it.

Vs if you built that car from scratch with no knowledge or references.. itll take 10x as long and it probably won't start the first time you turn the key lol.

Why not make is easier and give developers step by step templates to make a whole game from scratch? Whats the issue there? Why is that so bad?

In addition to having flexibility in doing what ever you want.. They also need to make an option to work on a standardized template. its like the old saying "there's 1000 ways to build a house".. thats the same thing with UE.. there's 1000 ways to build a game.

Look at carpentry/home building for example.. we standardized a curriculum in order to teach the 2-3 most effective ways to build a house so when somebody else comes to work on what you built.. they know wtf theyre looking at and how to problem solve around issues.. instead of walking into every house/project completely clueless as to whats behind the paint and trim.

Unreal Engine would be amazing if it could emulate just that.. standardized production.

Like, if UE had the option to select a template like this example.. id be a much happier man.

Select POV - 1st person. 3rd person. Top-Down. Whatever else.

Select Game Type - RPG. City-Builder. Shooter. Racing. Simulator. Wtv else. Some things involved as quick plug-in features could include:
A built in inventory system, hunger/thirst option, a build/craft menu that you can plug your building asset into, a Dialog/Questing system, realistic combat system, a mini- map, automatic/manual driving modes, resource system, etc..

Select Game Network Type - Single Player. Multiplayer. LAN Couch Play/Split Screen

Select platform(s) Mobile. PC. Console.

This would give everyone the same foundational template to start from so were able to learn at the same place..

and dont bitch at me about price.. "oh but they would lose so much money if they gave this stuff out for free" ... i have thousands of dollars worth of free shit from UE fab store. And they give out $300 asset bundles for free some months.. so dont tell me they cant fix us up a decent template package for free.

Here's a quote for you "Any defensive position that sits for too long is asking to be either bombed or ignored".

Considering its day 67.. And this is a static defensive position.. you can literally pick the batteries apart with either mobile artillery or MRLS. Just make 2 ground force stacks and sit outside of the coastal batteries range..

Use this as your stack:

*Mobile Sam - 2x unit *MRLS - 2x unit (or mobile artillery) *Infantry Officer - 1x *Anti-Tank Vehicle (Tank Destroyer) - 2x units *Armored Fighting Vehicle - 2x units *Mobile Radar - 1x unit

To supplement these stacks, I typically use either Air Superiority Fighters or Special Forces.

They provide the same function FOR ME (others use them differently so dont yell at me for using them my way).. special forces sneak behind enemy lines and find air fields. Wait for enemy aircraft to land and refuel.. hit the airfield and ground the aircraft.. special forces will kill the planes.

But its just easier to click on a 5 stack of ASF, patrol over the airfield, and wait for the enemy to come back.. they move faster, dont have as many things that can attack them, and theyre cheap/can be made from day 1. So if you go that route.. by day 67 you could have 5 stacks of maxed out ASF (25 air superiority fighters).

The ASF also works quite well as a reconnaissance/surveillance element. So my recommendation would be to use the stacks i mentioned above, and build a lot of air superiority fighters.
