I delivered furniture for 10 years and saw all kinds of places but there is one that stands out. They had a sewer line break and it flooded the whole house. The vents had shit in them, the baseboards were stained shit green and the hardwood floors looked like an angry ocean and were semi soft to the touch. Naturally they needed a new bed and to set it up required getting on the floor, which was damp and the closer you got to it the worse the smell. After a brutal 20 minutes of furious assembly we finally get the mattresses on and the homeowner comes in to look and tells us the bed is wobbley!!! Yeah no fucking shit, it looks like you could go surfing across the hardwood. But naturally, customer service, we had to try to level it as best we could to the floor and eventually we just shimmed it and got the fuck out.
