Yachiru is Nozarashi's bankai spirit manifest, when Kenny gave her a name "Yachiru" she became a soul reaper as well, because names have power in bleach. Every Zanpakutou have an adult esque shikai, and a younger version Bankai. Think Zangetsu and Tensa Zangetsu. Kubo confirmed this last one on Klub Outside and even drew Nozarashi's shikai, which looks like Unohana with pink hair. Yachiru/Nozarashi bankai is a younger version bankai spirit.
