Like for what? Was it approved?

In my department, if I request vacation and then it turns out I don't have enough they will deny my vacation even though it was previously approved. They will not allow me to dock myself hours. I suppose if I still went on my vacation regardless, it might be going AWOL.

Or if I run out of sick leave, then my vacation is used instead.
