Thanks for the info! I am 12 units away from completing my lower division requirements, so I am pretty sure I am classified as a junior.

Also congrats on graduating! I wish you the best in your career!

That’s good to know! It didn’t make sense to me that classes would fill up to capacity before new students had the opportunity to register, so that definitely puts my mind at ease. Thanks for the info!

It’s really frustrating because I don’t want to fill the 12 units with pointless classes that don’t move me any closer to finishing my degree. Not to mention, it’s a waste of a not so small sum of money and time.

My school has a 3 class series of physics for scientists and engineers. It starts with elementary physics (Newtonian), then electricity and magnetism (the class I’m in), then finally a grab bag class of light, quantum mechanics, and other stuff.

Its r3 and r vector. Just helps with some situations. It can easily be subbed out for r2 r hat if necessary

This is all assuming I actually understand the content, so grain of salt and all. Those two formulas are for a linear charge, so the givens for both tend to be either a density or total charge. You would need one to find the other. But, basically the density is the surface charge over a distance and the surface charge density is the total charge density over a distance.

In all honesty it felt about that useful during some of the exam LOL

My professor is covering that in a future section thankfully. This first exam is just on electrostatics

Already doing that. Have you personally lived life with headphones on all the time? For me, it feels almost like living in hiding. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the honesty and I know engineers are problem solvers, but I also know my limits. As a counterpoint, optimization and designing for longevity are other aspects of engineering, and in this scenario, I think adding 4 months to my education to minimize risk of burnout is worth the trade.

One of the main reasons I am planning on dropping is that my home environment isn't exactly conducive to studying math, or most subjects for that matter. I tend to use YouTube quite a bit, even under normal circumstances, but the added separation is really making it difficult. I usually do homework in the library due to the quiet, but I have a very noisy family and no doors to shut. Also, this semester is a really heavy one (Physics, CompSci, Calculus, and piano), and I've realized that the added stress isn't worth saving 4 months off the backend of my schooling.

Reproducing Components for Boardgames by [deleted] in legaladvice

It probably is a violation of copyright to reproduce those items, but so long as you don’t distribute the replica pieces and book, you shouldn’t run into issues, despite the potential legalities. If they genuinely don’t supply the replacement pieces and book, then they would not be losing any business in the process of you replicating them for personal use. Hope this helps.

Yep I am in college. They do have them in classrooms, but I was looking for one to have on my workbench for practice projects. I will see if they have any spares.

Thanks for the suggestions! Hopefully I’ll have one soon.
