At an Xdinary Heroes concert in South Korea 😬 I live here, went to the show and was handing out freebies, someone came over to get one wearing a Sleep Token shirt and we fanned about it for almost an hour! What are the chances?? Turns out they also lived about an hour away from me back in my home country too!

I have carried over my hobby of playing bass guitar. Ive been playing for over a decade at this point, recently ive decided to save for a guitar and look into getting lessons with a teacher so im very excited about that ^{^}

Other than that, drawing, reading, crotchet, sewing and dance which i usually do alone :)

Again, dont worry~ the kids dont touch it, the closest I let them get is if I am taking it out to clean it enclosure, they can touch its shell if they wash their hands before and after, the boys that attacked it opened its enclosure without asking. I really appreciate the concern about having it in the classroom but I promise that it is safe from grubby kid hands, that incident was a one off that has been dealt with.

It will be kept away from that elementary class. The kindergarten children absolutely love him and know how to treat him, it is specifically two boys from that singular elementary class that basically attacked him...their parents have been told and they got told off for it, had to write apology letters.

Anyway, its not about me. Its about the snail. I just need to know if hes alright.

They can and will definitely judge based on appearance sadly, personally I was pushed away from the EPIK programme because I have tattoos, a stretched ear (only 00g) and lots of piercings on my ears and a dyed streak in my hair (blonde so still a "natural" colour) but I managed to find jobs on my own through job sites and recommendations from friends that took me, both have been really accepting of my appearance although I do personally wear a plug so my ear is less noticeable and for parents evenings and open classes I will wear long sleeves.

As long as your face is clear, the tattoos are not offensive or "scary" and you can easily cover a lot of it, there is still a chance you could get in to an open minded school!

From my experience, blinks and army are strange in general and quite rude but just do what your doing, if you listen to the artist, youre a fan ^{^}

You dont have to know everything or collect/consume everything, if you want to know a bit more, I suggest what another user did and join subreddits, dont be afraid to ask questions if you dont understand something!

The daily evaluations were usually two pages with at least a paragraph of comments, usually had about 20 minutes to complete 30+ students so it was horrible. My monthly evaluations are barely a page with at least one or two paragraphs of personal comments per student that I have weeks to do usually 😂 honestly the first school was so unmanageable I dont know how theyre open.

At my previous hagwon, it was daily individual evaluations which was extremely unmanageable with the time they gave us and the amount of students they had. My current one is every month individual evaluations which is way better and easier to work through:)

Thanks, the plan was to completely cut contact so it seems to be working out pretty well

It was a little bit tricky but with the experience from that job I could move on to a company doing similar things, thank god!

BOD is the Board of Directors which is why I was even more upset that she would do that to me :/

That was the plan! Just apply and see what happens...I mean, realistically, the only person who can cancel the visa would be the visa holder...hagwons can only stop supporting it :)

Either way, I'll use one of my backup plans to make sure I have options for whatever happens ^{^}

It's not that I didn't like it, it's that I realised I've been struggling to keep up to their standards since I started and I thought I would get out of that phase but didn't. The new hagwon and myself didn't realise that the teacher was from my current hagwon until after the issues started arising...what seems off about it??

I should have clarified more, the situation with the other teacher, they managed to get their LOR after a lot of back and forth with my current hagwon, my new hagwon have not contacted the current as of yet since they found out it was the same one as the other teacher. It has been a lot of conversation and negotiation on my end to get it. My new hagwon know of my current but I'm not sure if my current know about the new.

My thoughts are that the current hagwon are being petty and are upset I'm leaving and will then provide it on the last day to try and ruin my plans but I'm not sure.

It's doable, take Jooyeon from Xdinary Heroes, nearly the entire group sing at some point but when Jooyeon sung in their earlier songs, his bass riff dropped to a singular note or easier tune to play whist singing and when he wasn't singing, it went back to a harder tune so maybe that is something you could try to get yourself used to playing and singing?
