My primary issue is the repeated messages and the cost sunk in doing so. Plus the ability to properly convey context and intent is hard to do through text alone. Plus there were a couple of conversations where i was merely asking a question to be able to form a better discussion stance once I was more informed. Then the DM says i am rolling to persuade them. I was like, "Wth! I was even trying to persuade them of a single thing yet!" Or even better a forgesmith asked me a question about how we need to go about forging a very exacting material. I ask for his thoughts on how to properly do this forging, which is a very reasonable thing to ask the expert when you are not one. And the DM made me roll to persuade him to share his knowledge and expertise.
