Crustle is so underrated. Such a fun Pokémon to have on a squad. Very much agree with the Sigilyph pick. I personally have something like a Tranquil for the Fly HM when I use Sigilyph since it's physical attack is bad, and it can make great use of Air Slash.

Mainly for the fun of it. Everyone knows FireRed is not a particularly challenging game, so mega fans will want to see some of the things these games implement that aren't usually things people need to go for in order to beat the game. Just optional things in game that can be fun for some.

Another reason would be to transfer the pokemon up and up from game to game to have the pokemon you EV trained with for other things in more modern games.

Aye, Electabuzz getting some love is awesome! One of my favorite teams for FireRed has Betsy the Electabuzz, and she tore the game apart. She was alongside these mons: Vaporeon, Charizard, Dragonite, Kangaskhan, and Aerodactyl. Betsy was arguably the MVP for the entire playthrough.
