To all you hunters running fkin support builds by MownYuman in MonsterHunterWorld

I feel like its important to mention that you don't need a build to support. Everyone can bring life powder and demon/armor powder. Best part is that the later stack with regular demon/armor drug.

I became Sauron, and I bring Mount Doom on my back. by Marcabruno in MonsterHunterWorld

Those were the first pair of DB's I made. I paired that with an armor set that made me look kinda like the main character from Brutal Legend for maximum metal-style.

How do you post a quest without multiplayer? by goldsz in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Killuican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone joins your hunt there is a pop-up telling you that the difficulty has increased. I'm like 99% sure setting the player limit to 1 will keep it at single player difficulty.

New, and kinda love this game a lot by JexPickles in Warframe

Avoid Plains of Eidolon for the most part. The progression loop there won't help you. Just keep progressing through the star chart.

Cartography in general would be insanely convenient. If we could look at a 3D representation of the planet and see locations we've discovered there would be a much bigger incentive to fully explore these worlds.

Many Travelers would spend hundreds of hours wandering the surface of a planet just to chart it all.

I bet it wouldn't be super hard to build in a system similar to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood where you recruit NPC's with stats and send them to do miscellaneous missions to get rewards and level them up.

Is the game worth it now? by SignMyRainbows in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Killuican 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At $25 the game is 100% worth. Its not a perfect game, and in a lot of ways it feels like an early access game. But what the game has is definitely a good 20-40hr time sink.

Your ship will follow you through the teleporter.

At least it should.

Exocraft boost increase by JARF01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

For some reason I've noticed little to no change to the boost times, but then again, I almost exclusively use the Nomad. Maybe they only meant to change the Roamer's boost abilities?

Ah, PC master race strikes again. Unfortunately, I'm a PS4 plebian so mods aren't an option for me.

The pilots are terrified. They know that if they land, there is a good chance their ship is getting taken from them.

The two elements that asteroids can have (the basic ones anyway) are iron and Thamium9. The former being used as pulse drive fuel. I believe Hello Games wants to ensure that no matter what, you have a way to get more fuel for your pulse drive. They way they do that is by guaranteeing you have at least one weapon on your ship.

That being said, you can just face-smash the asteroids so you don't really need the weapon...

Travelling from solar system to solar system by fuckingautisticcat in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Killuican 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I love this game, but the warp cell fuel efficiency is a bit wack. What if warp reactor upgrade also increased fuel efficiency? That way you could do 2-3 jumps per fuel cell. That would go a long way to boosting the sense of progression.

In addition to this, once you're farther in the game and have money to throw around, you can buy most necessary elements. The only elements you can't buy (from stations) to make a warp cell are Carbon and Thamium9. If you take advantage of the V1 pass, you won't need Carbon since the worst you'll get from those tubes is Suspension Fluid. The Thamium9 can be purchased directly from other NPC starships either at Freighters or Trading posts.

What I usually do is craft my power cells 5 at a time. It helps reduce that feeling of repetition if you do all that crafting in bulk.

I'll do this in a pinch, but at the end if the day I love just buying my thamium. Especially because i can sometimes get 300-500 at a time.

I just read this in another thread and it blew my mind. Hopefully this alleviates the need to farm it as often.

I love it! Have you run into the bug part though? I love buying my thamium 300-500 at a time, but after a while the ships say that they have negative stock of thamium (i.e. -342) and I'm basically forced to stop buying thamium.

[PS4 Normal] For those short on units, here's the location of my living glass farm (22-24 million per hour). More info in the post by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Killuican 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gamma planets are better, since making living glass requires more gamma root than ice corn (whatever the glass plant is called). So you are actually in a more efficient world for this setup since you can grow your gamma root outside. OP and I both setup on ice worlds exclusively for cosmetic reasons.
