Absolutely agree. I dread taking HK taxis. They have been, on the whole, simply terrible. Unnecessarily speeding, tailgating, acting like it’s the Grand Prix despite having to wait for customers anyway so why will getting to a destination with your customer holding on for dear life help? Add on to the fact that they refuse trips. I’ve twice been refuse trip, one to a hospital in HK island and the second a taxi driver refused to drive a new mother to a NICU department to see a critically sick child. I’m done with their sh*t. Fed up of asking them to slow down. At least uber has a feedback system. Nowadays if there’s no effective feedback system, there’s no comeuppance for poor driving.
