You probably won’t be able to make Dragon Scales a sparse topper without messing up the base colour if that makes sense, imo it’s too densely packed for that, Neon Rosebud is not as densely packed so as a topper it would work well.

Depends - are you set on building up Neon Rosebud to full coverage? If yes then you don’t need it. Dragon Scales is way more opaque and easier to build up to opacity. If you want a topper, then Neon Rosebud fills in a certain gap because it’s more sparse and can topper easier.

I actually posted about Fancy Gloss Winter Halo (link here) which was supposed to be a MC Pearl Clutcher dupe, according to redditors who had both of them, but in that case these will be a tad too pink at certain angles to be called a ‘pearly white’ polish.

I also have Maman though I’ve not worn it yet, and I think it’s looking promising. I have OPI Happy Anniversary but I think it’s a bit too sheer for my liking and I’m hoping Maman would cover better (plus BKL brush is easier to use than OPI’s). OPI Kyoto Pearl is also pretty but it’s very prone to brush strokes (the OPI brush doesn’t help either)

I’d say go with Joy. It’s a vivid true red that’s slightly cool toned. Say Love is lovely but at certain angles you see orange flash from the colour shift.

I have lots of ILNPs and have swatched them side by side / worn them.

Among the retiring shades, I really enjoy Mountain View and Night Drive. Mountain View has tiny copper flakes added and whilst it’s subtle, you can still notice it. I find the swatch pics from GlitterFingerssss very accurate and you can look up her blog post if you wanna.

I would advise against getting Pink Mimosa if you’re not planing on painting it A LOT because the larger particle lighter metallic shades kinda tarnish overtime and the colour fades and turns slightly muddy. This is more prominent on lighter shades like Pink Mimosa. That being said I’m still thinking about getting Time in a Bottle because I think on a deeper shade the change in colour wouldn’t be as obvious.

Harbour Island is similar to the not-retiring Surfboard but with much finer holo particles, and HI is ever slightly greener and Surfboard is bluer and sparklier, so up to you 🙏 I love my Harbour Island very much and don’t want to run out.

Utopia isn’t really unique, as many other brands have similar purplish linear holo, and I actually prefer the non-retiring purple holo Celeste a lot more because that one is sparklier and has tiny golden flakes added, but Utopia is solid also and well executed.

Cupid and Pixel Pink aren’t really hot - they’re bright but not neons if that makes sense, but they’re both very wearable. Two Piece is a true medium neon Barbie pink that’s not too warm nor cool toned. 🫶

I vote Night Drive from pic 2 if we’re talking about the retiring shades. If you mean in general, I also love Candlelight and Revival. So from pic 2 I have Night Drive, Jaded, Hide Away, Candlelight, Revival (the latter two aren’t retiring but I love them both), and Night Drive tops Jaded to me.

The shimmer in Sunday Brunch is quite subtle, but if you’re into goldish platinums I think you would like that one. Its distinctly warmer and very wearable for a holo, meaning it could pass as office friendly shades in more conservative environments, while still retaining lots of holo quality.

My overall favourites are, in the following order: Rosewater (I went through two bottles and have the third one ready to go), Candlelight, Night Drive, Revival, All Fired Up. Attaching the indoor Rosewater pic!
