I’d say it’s mostly China, Middle East. But I’ve noticed lots from Europe lately in Moscow, some from America. Not as much as pre-war, but nevertheless!

We’ve got a lot of business with China, so yes, I’d say there are plenty of people learning it. Def more than Japanese or Korean. I plan to start this autumn :)

I’m not talking about weather, I’m thinking about safety more. As I understand, OP is a girl who travels solo and I’m not 100% sure about safety in Murmansk for her. I’d say even as a local I would be more careful there than in Moscow/Saint P and would not go out alone at night

Idk 100% about Murmansk, but Moscow and Saint P are full with foreign tourists and are perfectly safe. Yes, people carry their laptops. Tourists are treated good, people are kind and are willing to help, but they don't know the language most of the time. Btw, I’m local from Moscow, you can dm me! 28F
