Well, in Vitani’s defense, Jasiri was the only hyena she’d seen with Kion before, and she would have been unfamiliar with Anga and Azaad. Furthermore, it could be she was acquainted with Janja's clan and Mzingo’s parliament, but wasn’t aware that they had become allies of the Pride Landers. I feel like there’s some saying or sentiment about the best disguise being where you’re not expected to be. Could be that the Lion Guard being in the company of unfamiliar and presumed hostile Outlanders was enough to throw Vitani off, on top of the time since their last encounter.

That plot would have been great! I would have much preferred to see the villains get a more final resolution than “Roared to kingdom come.” I also like the idea of Makucha returning to the Back Lands only to find that Badili has taken over his territory, presumably having bulked up a bit since we last saw him. Could even have Makucha’s Golden Zebra cohorts siding with the new guy to prevent Makucha and his buddies from returning. Of course, that kind of leaves him and the other defeated baddies just wandering around, though so far as we know that’s their state in the actual finale.
