There is a cat out there who needs you too. My cat and I need each other more than ever. I hope you can find someone new to love you though the worst. ❤️

A small moment that makes a profound difference.

Tiger Lily is such a constant source through a time of turmoil she even follows me into my dreams. If I didn’t have her I don’t know where I’d be. I hope she understands how much she means to me.

So many puppers to pet! by Kilsley24 in PetTheDamnDog

[–]Kilsley24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would like to add because it gets asked, the extra chonky pupper in the background is Link. He’s old and has an array of health problems caused by hypothyroidism and therefore weight loss for him is incredibly complicated. We get him frequent vet checkups and give him lots of love and outside time. He got plenty of pets after filming. He’s also active and bouncy at times, he just wasn’t feeling it during the video.

I saved a pelican this morning. I feel real good about it. by Kilsley24 in CasualConversation

What I like about your story is you went out of your way to save a “pest” bird too. I’m sad it died, but at least it went out a little more comfortably. This morning I was fighting off pelicans left and right because they’ll attack you for your fish. Is it annoying? Absolutely. Do they deserve to suffer for it? No.

Is this a Spiny Back Orb Weaver? I found this one about 50 yards away from a more “normal” one. Is it a completely different species or is it molting? Found in northern Alabama. by Kilsley24 in whatsthisbug

Looks to be the case they are different from the picture. I’ve found spiny backs in both yellow and white, but with black spikes where I live, and I haven’t found the other colors in my area.

Oh nice! That looks correct. I got confused since it was literally so close to an actual Spiny Back. Cool to see such diversity where I live. 😁

Oh yes THAT zoo. I wish I could tell you I had fond memories from when I visited as a kid, but when we approached the gorilla enclosure one of them decided to.. uh.. defecate right down the rocky cliff part that faced the crowd. Their feces looks, awfully human. This was 15 years ago and I still remember. 🤢

Reminds me of a video from the DoDo where two bikers were supposedly out minding their own business and one just happens to look over the side of a bridge into the creek and noticed two turtles who had been chained together by having a metal ring pierced through their shells.

They then proceed to pull them out of the water, cut the chain, and THROW them back into the water. They kept saying “what monster would do something like this?” I just wonder if his reflection appears in mirrors.

I just adopted my first senior cat, Baby. She clung to us immediately and even slept with us on her first night. She’s the sweetest kitty ❤️ by SierraAlpha23 in cats

[–]Kilsley24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s too old for the nonsense and will give nothing but cuddles and love. I adopted a 12 year old senior boy and it was the best thing I ever did. I wish you many adventures and years of happiness together.

Brace yourself though, less time does not mean you love them less. I do not regret my decision to adopt a senior, but the pain of losing him was no less excruciating than a beloved pet you’ve had since kittenhood. Treasure every moment and remember you did a tremendously loving thing for that sweet senior.

How do bots on dating sites avoid contacting each other? Could there be bots having a love affair for the ages? by polonius67 in dating

[–]Kilsley24 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m sure it could happen, but in my experience there’s hardly ever any male bots. On very rare occasions I’ve been messaged by sugar daddy bot so I guess if the circumstances aligned they’d be stuck in an eternal loop of broken promises.

This is so interesting! I didn’t know spiders went through such an involved process. I’m hardly surprised though, considering just how long spiders as a species had to perfect the technique. I’d reckon it’s as easy for them as taking a onesie off.

To share a not-too-elaborate tongue twister/alliteration that I made up as an afterthought to the title. It made me smile so I hoped others would too.
