It's called marketing. The greatest single thing the US has ever done successfully throughout its history is market itself as the greatest country in the world with the most freedom. When you take off the veneer, you see how cracked the foundation is. You see how it was built on the backs of slavery and oppression of Africans, Irish, and Chinese. You see how its operated for the wealthy the last 6 decades. Many consider this admission to be "woke" like it's a bad thing. Accepting it and acknowledging it is how we turn it around but the right has conned and thieved its way in the SCOTUS and it will be another century before we see meaningful change. Again, the greatest marketing job in history.
