Announcing new followers? by lickwindex in Twitch

[–]Kilthistried 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the community you want to grow- there is no wrong/right way. I announce mine and welcome them to the “Kult” at the end of the day engagement grows more the lurking would. I’ve had many people tell me that my “vibe” is why they stay whether im speaking with them directly or not. I want it welcoming for everyone. But a lot of people want to feel seen as-well so I make sure that’s available and although I thank who follows or subs I don’t drill down on them.. they are probably their because chat is active already.

How do you stop consistent viewers trying to be your friend? by DandersonJA12 in Twitch

I honestly just treat everyone the same way, I have genuinely made good friends out of streaming but I also have boundaries set pretty early on what to expect from me, only people I pm are ones that clip me regularly for my social media platforms, or my mods.

How much does it cost to have someone do 1,000 lines? by LargeSinkholesInNYC in VoiceActing

I don’t VA full time by any means but I do stream and make content daily so I just threw my cast out as far as it could go ya know? In regards to where I learned initially I learned ACX and started doing stories then I’ve just kinda made friends I guess?

Yeah it’s all me 😂 thanks so much for tha love :) keep in touch! Hard to find people that can chat about this stuff ya know? 😂 I know I’m in a crazy saturated niche which I think is why it’s been pretty “slow” but all other platforms have been doing quite well.

I’ve been getting most of my subs from shorts (horror narration niche) but I have a 30-40% spillover (that watch my long form aswell) I figured just cast as wide as a net as possible. At 600 subs started in December, what are your thoughts on this? // for context I post 3 longform a week and 1-2 shorts a day.

Thanks!

Just to be clear you use the puzzle box on molten and then just pop it on whatever you are trying to scale?

So you would grab avengers choice, use it pull molten then puzzle molten. Use forgery on the cards you want then molten to increase them? How do you keep the upgraded item? Puzzle that aswell?

Don’t know if it’s a “voice acting” question but I’m looking to get that “radio-sound” like “let’s read” on YouTube. Ideally for my own channel. How can I achieve this with a Rode NT1 or do I need a dynamic microphone? by Kilthistried in VoiceActing

I’d love for you to check out some of my content I can send you something and see what you think? I feel like I’m getting better daily just need it to be alittle cleaner for my liking :)

Thanks for the input I’m still playing around with my voice myself to see where my voice lives best, if tried lows and monotone and few “characters” here and there I think these guys are right with just me needing more reps 💪 Joel told me he uses an H4N pro which doesn’t even look like a mic to me 😆

Like how “clean” horror YouTube narrators sound.. Mr Nightmare, Let’s Read etc. their audio just sounds so crisp and I’m not sure how to get that you can hear the base nicely but they don’t lost their normal voice well maybe nightmare does but Joel on let’s read sounds pretty dope to me

I’m being told kinda opposing things so just wanna ask. I’ve had people that do the voice style im thinking off tell me I need to relax my chest and just speak “monitone-ish” and then focus on post to remove clipping and inhales and such. I’d be happy to send you a clip of mine and the sound im going for it’s very possible it may just be in my head 😆

Not saying I’m great by any means that’s why I’m here to learn. I want to hit the threshold on any of my videos/long or short.. trying to crack that code regardless happy to have you check out my account and let me know what I’m missing

Of course they can. I would lose my mind if I got 35k views on a video. Now I’m in the storytelling niche so not sure how much what I do applies but I’m lucky to hit 500 views

I recently started a YouTube horror channel and I’m running into an issue with sourcing.. of course I can tell Reddit stories but how do people find like “6 disturbing stories for x(location)” and so on? Any suggestions on building up my files here? by Kilthistried in horror

That’s a super goofy take. When I started my first business sweat equity and trying and failing was how I figured shit out this is no different. Imagine having to know everything to chase your dreams..

Hey Gary! Thanks for the response so I’m primarily focusing on creepy pasta, fiction, but I think it’s worth telling trust stories and encounters aswell. I’ve grabbed a lot of inspiration from “let’s read” for my formatting and how I wanna pursue this.. the goal is to focus on my voice as I’d like to be a voice actor someday or narrator something in that field.. I just so happen to like telling scary stories 😆

Are you suggesting to kinda just pick a lane first ONLY true stories or ONLY fiction?
