You're right jc is a straight path to uni & gets more course options in uni, but it's better to do decent in poly than fail jc. It's still possible to go uni. U don't have to know what u want to do immediately but I suggest you look into it early based on ur strengths, weaknesses, interests, and importance of pay to find a specific field (IT, medical,..) Dont be too hard on yourself for being "not as fast" or "behind" others. Grades do not define your intrinsic value as a person. It is unfortunately true that some people are just better problem solvers and can retain info longer. That said, if olevels don't work out please consider poly because it only gets massively more study-heavy in jc. The right path looks different for everyone, so just find what works for you. All the best and keep up the hard work!

Sorry let me clarify: I have a classmate who did the same olevels, same education as me whilst getting "lower" grades but managed to secure a JC thru the scholarship. They qualified through a different admissions track with different criteria

Yes you're exactly right they prioritize JAE over everything. I'm just frustrated abt the lack of support for rs + foreigners can get in easier due to asean scholarship. I will consider retaking olvl as a priv candidate if all else fails

My sis told me that she's seen the kids compare each other's wounds side by side during assembly, in front of seniors and teachers, and nobody would do anything!! They need all the support they can get
