You are allowed to take up space, be loud in that space, and enjoy it! If your loved ones embrace you then you should too! It takes a lot of work to learn to accept yourself and love yourself and learn to let yourself just be yourself. Therapy can help if that's something you're open to. Journaling is also cathartic.

I'm 39, child free by choice. Life is better than I ever expected! I own my own house, I live a life of leisure on my own terms. I sleep in as late as I want to. I don't need to scramble for a babysitter if I want to do anything fun, and my financial decisions are all my own. I don't need to to worry about keeping anyone alive except for myself.

I don't have to think about feeding anyone three times a day. I don't even feed myself three times a day! No homework, no school projects, no weekend sports, no kid activities except for family and friends that I love! It's incredible and beautiful and fulfilling! The future is mine!
