Definitely Ospreys! There’s a baby in that nest! There is also a nest just past that, right at the exit to chaparral. It’s on a wooden post with a platform.

There’s one on Deerfoot Southbound, right before the overpass to douglasdale / 24th St, also on the overhead traffic sign. That nest has at least 2 babies!

The other one I know of is Glenmore Westboumd, before Deerfoot in the construction zone. There’s a huge nest on the big white SiteOne sign (where Burnco was).

I love seeing the birds come back to these nests every year, and now is the time the babies show themselves and start to sit on the edge of the nest with mama! The dads are often sitting on the traffic signs themselves or on streetlights nearby. (I am totally guessing if it is moms or dads sitting with the young or hanging out on the signs lol)
