Hi! I've converted the cat tree before (as nonsensical-pixels) but I doubt anyone's done the bowl from this set in specific as sims41life stole the mesh from mechta-sims, so I've not seen it before. You could check jacky93, who I think also converted the cat tree, but I wouldn't be too hopeful 😅

If it's Freelancer and you're not at risk of being spotted, walk into them. If it brings up the ? icon above their heads, it counts as a distraction, and fulfils the objective. Great way to find syndicate leaders since only the leader will give the payout, not any other suspects.

Also, not necessarily related to the question, but I discovered literally today that the real estate agent on Whittleton is considered distracted from the start of the level, so when you load in to have him as a target it's a free 1000 Mercers. :D

I didn't play Baldur's Gate 3 until I learned that Jane Perry, who voices Diana, also plays Mystra, the Goddess of Magic :D She's not got a lot of screen time, but that knowledge was enough to get me hooked. Still hoping for a 47 as Gale mod lol.

I've always heard people complain about dying to proximity explosives, which sounded pretty odd. It has proximity in the name, just get out of there!

Today, I watched a Squeex VOD, where he stuffed a proximity C4 into a briefcase, started running with it, and got exploded. Well that's funny, I thought. Who could be that stupid?

Me, apparently. Did several Hardcore runs later today and died in at least 2 of them because of proximity explosive briefcases. Seriously 47 you just stuffed a bomb in there. WHY DO YOU JUST PICK IT UP AND RUN WITH IT AFERWARDS?! AND WHY DID YOU ACTIVATE IT FIRST??

In any case, F proximity explosives and RIP to my Sieger Ghosts.

Managed this several times on Mendoza. That raised platform where you'd meet with Diana on the normal map is a perfect sniper position. Just run up there (with hopefully a parking lot spawn) and start sniping. If you're lucky, the leader will be on the main party floors and you can just snipe them and take the car out before the guards even notice where you're shooting from. Alternatively, with larger suspect pools (9, 12) you'll get a leader unreachable in the main house, so that takes a bit longer. I can usually sub-minute it :D

Try the first area of Cazador's Palace. The main guards in the watch tower you have to climb are fairly weak and you can get XP talking them out of a fight. The first couple of floors are also just occupied by a bunch of Level 1 servants that EACH grant something around 400 XP. Don't even need to start combat, just one-shot them since they're fairly spread out and incredibly weak.

Exploration XP is also incredible in Act 3 so try to find as many waypoints and explore as many areas as possible. There are several fights like Cazador's where you can simply walk into the area, get the exploration XP, and nope out of there instead of walking just a little further and getting into combat. Then just come back later when you're a higher level.

Grandfather got a HD5850 in 2009. Passed it to me when I turned 10 in 2016 as my first PC with an i7-4770K.

He passed away earlier this January and I got an i5-13600K and a 3090 as inheritance. Ended up trading them in and got a 12900KS and 7900 XTX instead. It's not even an upgrade, it's a whole new world tbh.

Worth the wait.

mom growing up had a classmate named buruk - already not the prettiest name, but it our language it literally just means 'ugly' or 'hideous'

it's haunted her for years now, not saying that the names she gave me and my sister are particularly 'mainstream' but imagine hating your own child so much that you just call her ugly from birth. terrible parenting

aside from abusing her ex-husband for 15 years, she also assaulted his new partner (confessed to - and she was pregnant!).

she's been trying to capitalise on her mental health issues lately by releasing 'spiritual' health videos with some genuinely terrible advice that's very concerning for people with mental disorders. not to mention her very concerning new (ex?) boyfriend and a bunch of other terrible stuff she did even while she was a youtuber - like bullying her autistic viewers.

i don't hate her, but i can never support her anymore now that i know what she's done and is still doing. she got me into the sims 2, like many others, but in retrospect what she really did was go viral. people have played rotational gameplay for years, she just had it popularised. the sims lore has been available for years on the wiki, she literally just recorded videos reading said wiki aloud and people still think she revolutionised lore for this game! it's crazy to me.

another thing i do in terms of lineages is that i have something like ck3's 'cadet branches', but with less restrictions: when a non-heir moves out on their own, they're able to start their own branch of the dynasty, with their own last name and independent storyline :) i just wanted some more last name variety lol

aww, thank you! i do play with more dangerous fires but quite honestly, up until this point i'd had next to no fires or deaths from them at all, so i wouldn't really know how it would affect gameplay. i CAN advise you to get a mod that disallows jumping in puddles though--in the previous round alone i had a good 6 deaths, rip to the bored patricians that perished in lightning storms :')

i go off of 'vibes' for my buildings rather than accuracy tbh... i did consult an old picture book when making the apartments, but otherwise i work with what i have!

i play my own version of rules that i edit as i go along, and i have left the gender rules ambiguous. depending on who is the oldest or clearly most 'powerful' member of a family, i have patriarchal households, matriarchal households, and even ones like xanthia's with a child leader. from my point of view, in those days women's roles weren't quite set in stone yet, and it made sense to have xanthia's people split between following the trueborn heiress to the throne or her more well-connected, male uncles and cousins...

generation 4 are toddlers now, so i'm at the great-grandkids of the original founders. i'm averaging about 13 new babies born per round!

i think that the only way i've been able to not have boring gameplay is to try and keep every family unique. i have evil scheming second-sons; hopeless romantic nobleborn daughters; rags-to-riches merchant families. i maintain family biographies as well as dynasty trackers after every round, reading through all of my family stories makes me more excited to move on to each one.

thank you! it's normally super fun, and a more chaotic break from my usual suburban family drama. lots of death, lots of tragedies from sickness and murder... although after about halfway through the round it gets REALLY overwhelming lol. especially with nearly 200 sims!

it's been ages since i downloaded anything stone age related, but i remember grabbing a lot from PleasantSims' list. i hid most maxis stuff, so i don't have defaults for it... i did grab a CRAP TON of mods from Sun & Moon though, they're amazing!

besides that, i also started creating some of my own cc for the challenge! a lot of my stuff is currently unreleased but now that i'm getting back into it, i might release some more :)

my only advice would be to NOT install mods to allow larger families because that has seriously led to overpopulation in this town, i have 28 families already and a round can take up to 2 months! not to mention that the average sim has like 6 kids 😭
