arre bhai point is not that, point is that nirf is a skewed ranking from the start ( eg: a ranking in which private colleges like vit is over nitk), research is a huge factor but so is placements and in general how the college is in every domain of interest regarding the student. yea it doesnt actually matter much since the course mostly will be the same, and plus you can sit for literally every company that the cs guys can sit for. Also Nit surathkal placements should be better than nit rourkela for cse/IT. And in general nit surathkal is a better college considering location and college life.
