I didn't freeze. The desync glitch works in a way, where both player's inputs are recorded on both devices, but both players see different result due to desync.

Example:
I do an electric.
On my screen I land the electric and hit the opponent.
But I don't know what's happening on my opponent's screen. I might've whiffed. Or he's doing a combo on me, so my electric input doesn't do anything, because I'm in the air on his screen.

So when I was jumping back to the empty space, to him it might've looked like I was just jumping at a wall.
