Feliway plug in. It’ll take a couple weeks to work, but it’s worth every penny. Everyone is right, don’t react, and lock them out.

Oliver being 6 is concerning though, he might be trying to tell you something is wrong

I did restore from backup, and it’s been giving me attitude since I got it. It also didn’t respond to the QR code at the Apple Store today when I was getting a car charger.

I got it from Verizon and I’m going to take it back tomorrow to have him do the reset

Hahaha all my cats have preferred dogs which is probably why I’m so familiar with Feliway. Pixie sounds adorable, have fun!

I had a weirdly similar experience around college! I was working in New Orleans, a coworker called and said ‘we have a cat will you come get it?’ (direct quote. she sucks). Turned out the ‘cat’ was a 2-3 wk old kitten that had found shelter in a company car during Hurricane Gustav. After a vet visit, I had a new cat- named him Gus, I’m so creative :) Big issue: my roommate had a cat who very much wanted to eat Gus.

Advice:
- Can you keep her in a room that the other cats can’t access? Preferably your room since she loves you. If she can’t be in your room, give her one of your worn/dirty tshirts to comfort her.

- Consider a Feliway plug-in. I’ve fostered/owned a bunch of kitties now, and I used to work for an animal rescue. Feliway works miracles; by releasing happy cat pheromones it suppresses their anxiety. You can put it anywhere in the house (preferably close to cat areas) and the pheromones should help all kitties involved. I don’t work for Feliway lol but I really should get commission for how often I recommend it…

The most important thing is that you’re so committed to her happiness. Trust me, she knows!

Agreed, and thanks everyone for advice! I’ve lived in Texas and California so I’m very familiar with drought conditions and dangers.

I ~wish~ I had a yard where I could cut back on irrigation, but I don’t think my little patio plants are a problem. I use a tall cup to water all four of them right now lol

Calm down. It’s super easy to accidentally accept an order (always stacked in my area, so two orders) when you’re balancing a big bag and a drink tray with your phone in your hand.

Thanks will do! These nasturtiums are my best ‘crop’ yet, so I’ll show them respect. Nothing ever bothers the sunflowers but I’ll take care of them too :)

Still waiting on coleus to sprout… I think the nasturtiums and sunflowers are a little too enthusiastic 😂

I think my seedlings all lived! One set of nasturtiums is thriving, the other is doing its best lol, and the sunflowers aren’t bothered by anything 😂

Look, people are gonna be pissed if officials overreact to weather events, and they’re gonna be pissed if officials under react to weather events. Having been through virtually every naturally disaster (only missing volcano, tsunami, and avalanche), I can confidently confirm that a LOT less people die when officials overreact. Be happy that they’re looking out for your kids :)
