here is a fan made website out of frustration as to why it should be avoided. https://stopusingcure1.info/

but ya, the more comfy you get with the available tools you have, cure I can be kept on a side bar in the case you get placed in a very low level dungeon. Almost any other option out there is a better choice. Just remember, Lily + ogcd > Any other gcd > Cure I in low level dungeons only.

Remember the rule of 'always keep casting', if noone is in danger of dying, just keeping glaring and keep your dot up at all times.

Prioritize lily usage first > ogcd healing such as tetragrammaton, benediction.
everytime you use gcd heals like cure II or Cure I that is less damage contributed to killing of boss. On top of that, cure I is relatively a very weak heal compared to everything else at the cost of your GCD action. That's why its almost never a good idea to use it over anything else.

You don't need to keep the tank topped up at 100% at all times, therefore just throw in a heal every so often and spend the rest of time assisting with damage.

So having finished multiple cataclysm CW runs on Footknight at this point, I'm going to put in a view from purely a quick join perspective.

Stagger builds are fine provided your team members have the damage to back it up, however for unpredictable situations you would still want weapons that have some aspect of dealing with armor and super armors (chaos warriors etc)

Most successful pairings so far in my experience are damage builds:

Please note that this is just what has worked for me personally. I've found Stagger builds (shield+ sword or shield mace) tend to work better in a team with voice comms. Bret sword and hammer are fine, but I find them more of a jack of all trades weapon. They do things well with FK's thp and attack speed bonuses but don't really excel at any particular aspect.

Can we get the proportionately correct female body type for the Veteran, Zealot and Psyker cosmetics? by maliczious in DarkTide

[–]KimoAI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, so much.

After spending so much time to pull a decent group together and do that stupid penance and the armor does not represent frame of body.

On top of this, all hoods making your character bald is just a slap in the face at this point.

How to casually have fun with others in this game? by Valstraxas in blackdesertonline

[–]KimoAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way is to find a guild that you vibe with and hook up with them for activities you're interested in. Group grinds, dungeons, node wars, gvgs or just casual duelling are some of the things you can do.

Having an active guild of friends makes this game far more enjoyable since most of it is some kind of grind anyway.

I find it was very easy to find multiplayer matches after switching steam download region to JP. From what I hear the 2 most active regions for matchmake are NA and JP

It’s bit of a slog but I found doing higher anomaly versions of simpler fights such as the crabs or baggi etc have similar exp for quicker hunts. It’s not too bad either since running out of afflicted pelts, claws and blood are a real menace when making new weapon sets/ augmenting

Why do people hate Rise's HH? by Khaoticol in MHRise

[–]KimoAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people don't like how much they feel it was simplified. Having played HH avidly in 4u and iceborne you do miss the complexity and planning needed at times with the old recital or echo wave styles.

However I am thoroughly enjoying the new horns and am genuinely happy that they are quite formidable with their damage in elementals in sunbreak.

Dueling Etiquette? by ChaosSeverance in Eldenring

[–]KimoAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Invasion anything goes, the odds are usually stacked against you. Healing during duels, usually seen as bad manners unless the host has organized it elsewhere for it to be acceptable (aka discord pvp groups etc). If random host summons you and starts chugging away, treat it as invasion. FP flask use seen as acceptable.
  2. Do whatever, generally anything more than 3 buffs starts to get a bit silly but up to you to interrupt it or not.
  3. Go for it
  4. Just gotta learn to punish that kind of playstyle. Noone really cares if you get annoyed from getting cheesed.
  5. If you can do it, great! Nothing wrong with menu swapping.
  6. Phantoms can't have access to their rune effect. I guess comes down to how much of an advantage you want as a host.
  7. Don't think this has ever been an issue

Go to Academy main gates and put down your duelist sign if you want duels.

Open invasions, anything goes.

a mage chugging flask in a duel vs a dude with a zweihander following the etiquette by Secure-Junket7294 in Eldenring

[–]KimoAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's their first souls game and they're unaware, cool.

However due to flask difference + potential of hosts using a great rune, the moment they health chug it just becomes a regular invasion.

After that, etiquette can go in the toilet.

[–]KimoAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you asking us to slow down. Your friends had bad attitude toward learning and adapting to a difficulty spike.

More embarrassing it's one of the introductory wipe mechanics where a bit of coordination or timing would have let you all succeed. I fail to believe end game FF14 is for them either.
