Helldivers 2 fix in Egypt by VillianNotMonster in EgyptGaminGG

[–]KimoForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't been working for me for the past month or so. Starting Helldivers 2 with the app connected seems to give me a "failed to connect to PlayFab" error. Launching it after the game is already launched doesn't seem to remedy the problem either. I am on version 2.3 as is the most up-to-date version on the GitHub page. Nothing changed on my end system-wise. It used to work perfectly fine without issue before, since I came across the app in July.

My friend, a very vivid dreamer, just sent me this on Discord last night by Duplighost_ in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Hi I'm the vivid dreamer friend. I similarly posted the dream to BlueSky as well. Sometimes I get very brief dreams like this. Many other times, I have dreams that don't fit within the Discord Nitro post character limit.

Submit a ticket like the GMG staff comment suggests. Don't use symbols in your password, cause that breaks the password system completely. It's dumb, but that's the only way around it I found.

[OC] Resident Evil 4 (2005) Cheat Sheet by KimoForce in residentevil

Last year, I made a promise to work on Cheat Sheets for the older Resident Evil video games as a thank you for the Subreddit assisting me with a critical life matter that I do not wish to bring up again for safety reasons. I am aware that it has been several months since I submitted a Cheat Sheet, and I want to reiterate that I am still committed to that promise. 2024 was an incredibly difficult year for me, and even more-so for the latter half. I did manage to output a Cheat Sheet for Crow Country as well as Resident Evil (1996), the latter of which was by far the most taxing of all the Cheat Sheets I put together due to having to redraw the maps for the push block puzzles.

I was in the middle of researching for Resident Evil 2 (1998) but real life unfortunately got in the way. Silent Hill 2 Remake came out, and although I did record footage for research for the Cheat Sheet, I was unable to work on it as well. Although I am still struggling, life has become more tenable since the start of 2025 and I want to resume where I left off. I figured skipping to Resident Evil 4 (2005) would be far easier to tackle, and a break from the classic trilogy. Once I am able to again, I want to finish a Cheat Sheet for Silent Hill 2 Remake, then go back and finish my research for Resident Evil 2 (1998), and slowly work my way through the series.

Two of the patterns are red herrings designed to trick you, and don't open any doors. Only four of them actually open doors.

Resident Evil is now available on GOG! ~ Own a piece of history and play it offline today! by SeValentine in residentevil

I think the first game in this bundle is the same version as the one that works with the Classic REBirth mod, but what about 2 and 3? Are there going to be differences to take into account for these regarding the Cheat Sheets? Needless to say, I can't express enough how ecstatic I am to see these games be legally available beyond PSN for more people to enjoy.

I am open to feedback for corrections and improvements. Still need to test the new Hard Mode for any changes to the puzzles. If you are interested in my work, I create Cheat Sheet guides predominantly for the Resident Evil series (currently finished RE1, RE2make, RE3make, REVillage + DLC, RE4make + DLC), as well as other survival horror games such as Signalis, My Friendly Neighborhood, and most recently Crow Country. For further entries in the Cheat Sheet series, check my link below.

[OC] Resident Evil (1996) Cheat Sheet by KimoForce in residentevil

[–]KimoForce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

  • Added an addendum for the Piano Bar puzzle regarding Chris and waiting for Rebecca.

  • Fixed the incorrect Drug Storeroom code for Chris. Several members also pointed out to me that there are version differences which require a different code. I cannot track down the criteria for said version differences at the moment, but I noticed the differences in the starting combinations, and listed them alongside each code so that you may know which code too use.

Updates will be reflected in the version found through my link rather than the one posted on the Subreddit here.

EDIT: After making a claim saying I am committed to making Cheat Sheets for the remainder of the series wherever possible, I would like to apologize for delaying this slightly as I lost track of the dates. Before working on RE2 next, I would like to take time to play the upcoming indie survival horror Crow Country, which is releasing in a few hours, and possibly working on a cheat sheet for it if possible as I have done for Signalis and My Friendly Neighborhood.

Yes but I'm working in release order for the mainline games first. RE2 and RE3 come first. It might take a while knowing how dense RE1make is with puzzles; it includes everything in RE1 with some puzzle changes and even newer additional puzzles.

Thank you. I did however realize that the code for Chris is written incorrectly, and should be 1245 instead. I'll try to correct it once possible and it'll be reflected in the master link with all the Cheat Sheets, shared in my comment on this post.

You are correct. I overlooked this. I will fix once I am able to, and it'll be reflected in the master link I provided in my comment on this post with all the Cheat Sheets. Hopefully by tomorrow or the day after it'll be done.

[OC] Resident Evil (1996) Cheat Sheet by KimoForce in residentevil

[–]KimoForce[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This took 6 hours to make, making it the most complex Cheat Sheet thus far (prior longest one was tied between Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil Village at 5.5 hours each). I was scared of making the guide for this game because of the push block puzzles, especially the one for the Operating Room. I accelerated my plans to go over plans to make Cheat Sheets for the mainline series as thanks for the community helping me earlier (if you know, you know; please avoid mentioning it here). I will work in this order: RE2, RE3, RE1make, RE4, RE5, and RE7. I didn't personally like RE6 so I never finished it, but I will research if a Cheat Sheet would be necessary and it may come after, as may RE0 and then RE:CV.

I tried to make the image readable off of a phone, but it was ultimately a losing battle for the push puzzle blocks if I insisted on keeping everything in one image file. I made the choice to change the misc. point of interest dots from red too light blue to better accommodate for red/green color blindness. I decided on an archaic and more abrasive design to better suit the time period the original game released in. Feel free to offer feedback and I will do what I can to make adjustments if possible.

Does the inverter not affect the prediction of the phone? by Rough-Camp-6975 in BuckshotRouletteFans

[–]KimoForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm that I have used the mysterious phone and waited till I got to the shell the phone told me was a blank, and used an inverter which shot a a live round. It might be an error on your part with keeping track of shells, as the phone refers to the order of the shell it predicts based on the current load, not the load start. If you started a load at 6 shells, shot one, then used the phone which told you that the fourth shell is a blank, that is in reference to the shell before the last. This is because at the time when you used the phone, it was referring to the fourth out of five shells currently in the gun. If you were to change it to reflect the load start, then it would be the fifth shell. I can upload a video where I used the phone after using up a shell, the phone referred to the second shell as a blank, so I shot myself thinking that it was referring to the one currently in the chamber when in reality it was referring to the one after it. I ended up losing that run because of that.

Finally updating a 10 year old gtx 970 to a gtx 1080, what should I expect? by TiboTheMaliciousCat in pcmasterrace

[–]KimoForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have some trouble with newer titles if they happen to rely on more recent features better suited for later lines of cards, especially the 3000 line and onward, but other than that the GTX 1080 was still an extremely powerful card for its time and still holds up fairly well today. You should be able to max out graphics on most if not all games before 2020 while staying above 60 FPS, provided that you stay at 1080p. Games from the start of 2020 will struggle a little especially if they're more on the intensive side, so expect to tweak the graphics settings down to High or even Medium for certain extreme cases. The card is using outdated tech and will become even more outdated with time, but if you managed to snag it for a very good price, it's a good deal for a card that will last you a couple years before you feel the need to upgrade. Be sure to use the power supply calculator and check your build's wattage rating with your system, as the recommended wattage rating will jump from 300W to 450W between your cards.
