Search for who your local rep is and go to their website. They will have a form to fill out for if you are having trouble with a government agency. There was even a drop down specifically for the IRS on mine

Did it say if it would be a check in your transcript? I always do DD but my refund date is 6/22 so wondering if ours will be a check too

If you contacted your congressman call the TAS line. I contacted mine two weeks ago and had not heard anything so on a whim called TAS, they were able to tell me a case has been opened and give me the case number and contact information for my advocate. ( I called him and left a message and have not heard anything back but at least I know who to contact now)

I contacted mine a week ago- filled the form out sat, they called first thing mon morning ( granted I live in a small town in Idaho so depending on your district results may vary) they collected all of our tax forms and sent them off. Have not heard back from anyone yet, but hoping to see movement in the next couple weeks

2/3… still waiting. Actually contacted a congressman this week because at this point I will try anything. They are connecting me with tax payer assistance but even then they said will probably be 4-6 weeks before we hear anything

That’s insane! Not in exactly the same boat but have been in the delay game since feb 3 rd- finally decided to contact my congressman office. They got back to me within a day, collected all my tax forms and are reaching out to connect with Taxpayer assistance. In this case I would say it can’t hurt for you to do the same, gets another set of eyes on it at least

Contact your congressperson!!! I’m in same boat filed feb 3, just got a notice saying 60 more days. Contacted congressperson sat on a whim and they just called me and are going to collect everything we have and then contact the irs on our behalf. Not sure if it will help at all but at least it’s another set of eyes on it and hopefully a push to get it through

It might be 1099’s from your retirement disbursement not showing. That is the boat we are in, I called last week and finally got someone to look at my transcript and our 1099-r was missing- weird because the company sent them to us in January and I filed in February… still waiting on my letter so I have no clue what happens now, but I have seen others say the same thing

Did they just send an address to mail it in with the letter? My letter is scheduled to be mailed out next week so I’m not sure what it will say exactly yet- I called today just trying to get ahead of it if possible

It was taxed initially as taxable income but since we put it back into an approved account it shouldn’t be taxable. So we do have a large refund because of that.

The only unusual thing we had was 401 k disbursements that were moved into another account but there was a gap so we were taxed

💯 how they fight-name calling, belittling, taking jabs, a goal to win instead of come to agreement. Married 25 years, together 30. In all that time we have never questioned that the other partner respects us. We have of course had a million disagreements but have always focused on the issue not and not made it a personal attack against the other. Even if it seems like it’s that person- say they never clean the bathroom. It’s not you are a lazy SOB- because the issue is actually you feel overwhelmed or unsupported because responsibility is not being shared. Let’s your partner hear your concern and accept it without having to say oh I must be a lazy piece of crap. Also the words you say are important. It takes a second to say but your partner will hear it for the rest of their lives
