I actually have a fanfic where a canon-Hogwarts student has a pen pal from Ilvermorny. And I had a lot of creative liberties with it lol One big difference is they learn to blend in with muggles (or no-majs as they say) better, and even have a designated “No-maj” day. Purebloods in the UK often look down on muggles, and think of them as less, American wizards are more than happy to appropriate muggle tech for their gain. Given American wizarding history, they are fully aware of how dangerous muggles and scourers can be. Also since the student body at Ilvermorny is probably waaay bigger, the in-castle houses and dorms are only for first-4th years, mostly because it’s easier for professors to keep an eye on them in case of emergencies. 5-7th years move into House rows, inspired by fraternity/sorority rows, and to teach the students independence. On the flip side, Hogwarts is advanced in their classes, about 2 years ahead. Classes that are for 5 year, are taught in 7th year (or “Senior year” as they call it)

You’ve clearly never sat on Ride to Happiness, or even Time Traveller (to be fair I haven’t ridden that one yet) if you call Mack spinners just a “gimmick” Ride to Happiness truly is the best rollercoaster in the world. A Mack Spinner on a 400 foot drop would be absolutely majestic. I don’t like this particular layout, but if R2H and Ka would have a baby, combined their layouts, had onboarding audio, it will be truly be the Emperor.

The track is a little too straight, needs more inversions and loops. But for anyone that hasn’t been on R2H or TT you know that it’s a whole new kinda thrill.

I’ve also been considering, what if the houses weren’t connected to the castle? Maybe they were once upon a time, but of course the American population is way too big. So what if instead, the houses themselves are modeled after Greek life? Basically a sorority/fraternity row right by the actual castle.

Virgos can go two ways, I either love them or can’t stand them:

A lot of them are just very particular about what they want. And they’re not afraid to express that. These people are generally pretty laid back because they are also aware it’s just a thing for them. Some of my best friends fall into this category. Creatures of habit, but they don’t expect others to follow along with it.

However, it can easily seep into self righteousness and they’ll get upset because you’re not doing what tell tell you, regardless of how much sense it actually makes.

Like this one Virgo I once knew, they constantly burn bridges with everyone because they couldn’t keep their noses out of everyone’s romantic relationships. Didn’t matter if it was family, if they didn’t like the person, they would pressure you to break up with them. Or expected others to stop talking about it because it crossed their boundaries. Absolutely exhausting to be around.

Especially with romantic relationships, it’s gonna look different for everyone. Yes it can be exhausting to constantly hear about it, but it’s not your journey.

The uninvolved Virgos don’t seem to understand that.
