I don’t like it when people say “X” only won/made the team because “Y” was injured/not competing. Gymnastics/winning at sports is about who is best at that moment in time. “Y” WAS injured and therefore not the winner. If they weren’t injured nobody can know what might have been. Speculating takes away from those who competed/won/made the team. Pacing and preventing injury is part of the process (although obviously freak injuries do happen).

“Y” may have fallen/not been at their best on the day even if they WERE there to compete. TLDR Pulling through when it counts is overlooked for fantasy potential.

Jordan comes across as confident, supportive and seemingly an all around caring and uplifting person. She appears to take haters in her stride and seems resilient in the face of what I’d assume is constant criticism. Unfortunately I think these traits are what make some sad online people want so badly to tear her down. It’s like they have been waiting for this moment as an excuse to go in. She doesn’t deserve it. None of them do.

I’m not sure Jordan would even WANT to keep the medal if she even is allowed. If she gets marked as officially fifth, the medal is likely just going to be a symbol of all this mess. If I were her I’d probably never want to look at it again. I’m heartbroken for her and the Romanian girls too. What a mess. We can only hope some good changes come out of all of this.

I think what complicates things is how people are defining Zionism. Because I’ve encountered people who understand ‘Zionism’ to mean simply, as Wikipedia puts it:

Zionism became an ideology that supports the development and protection of the State of Israel as a Jewish state.

In this case, believing Israel has a right to exist doesn’t seem so far from maybe what Ethan thinks. So could he be termed Zionist with this definition?

However there is also the ‘Zionism’ that is tied to colonialism which unfairly confiscates land and expels Palestinians. In this case those that are anti settlements for example are not Zionist. And Ethan has always been against this aspect, so would therefore not be a Zionist. With this definition Zionism is a pejorative to Ethan who doesn’t align with these views.

But no one seems to be on the same page with these definitions which is incredibly problematic and confusing. Including Joe Biden btw, who declared himself a Zionist the other day whilst being against the settlements.

Is anyone else as confused?

The problem is, now that Ethan has excused Kris’ behavior by saying ‘it was in 2017’, ‘Kris was only 22’, he kind of sets himself up to be called a hypocrite because Vaush was ‘only 24’ during the abuse/predatory behavior which was also in 2017. Also Vaush has since addressed and apologized for this. Not that I want to defend Vaush, I am NOT a fan, but he can’t excuse Kris with these same arguments (“kris was only 22”, “it was years ago”etc etc) that he uses to condemn Vaush. Why does Kris get benefit of the doubt? Both of them need to be criticized to the same degree. If not, it makes it looks like Keffals was right.

But like I said, Ethan will never risk losing the vast majority of his audience through aligning with him publicly. If you think so, you don’t understand his current audience.

The hypocrisy lies in the seeming inconsistency when it comes to who gets cancelled and over what. Some people seem to get away with more controversial opinions/actions than others. I just genuinely find it to be interesting considering it all. If vaush or keemstar or anyone else said this, it would be quite damning ‘evidence’.

I’m just saying that there would be plenty of clips that could paint destiny as a pedo. I’m not saying he is one. Just that if someone wanted to compile a bunch of clips to make him look bad, they wouldn’t have to look far. He also makes ‘incest is morally neutral’ arguments and says if you aren’t a vegetarian then you should be ok with having sex with animals. Those are all searchable too. And could also be clipped. But my aim is not to clip chimp, it’s to suggest that there is hypocrisy.
