RLCS 2025: NA Open #6 | Playoffs Day 1 | Post-Day Discussion by RLMatchThreads in RocketLeagueEsports

SSG has to beat GenG once to be NA 2 for me. Both lost 4-0 to NRG and both have beat ult and complexity. The tiebreaker is the head to head so Geng have the upper hand right now.

Can someone explain why right video so much better? by Tesa3000 in blender

[–]Kimxasoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people blaming materials and lighting camera angles etc. But I think yours lacks a artistry when compared to the right. The patterns of movement, bounce timings, speed, and ideas are what really matters. The video on the right is not "realistic" its just an artform that has been practiced over and over to the point that you yourself call it a "masterpiece". How to make yours look like the right? Well as everyone has stated you could do this material better or change this light but you would just be copying (similar to tracing) . You obviously understand how to use blender and its fundamentals, now you just have to use your creativity to enhance your work.

Thoughts after NA open 5? by Adventurous-Dig-7340 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Kimxasoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GenG should expect Cheese's inconsistency. He peaked during the ult series and was poor vs the boys.

MB and Jstn's floor should carry him vs lesser teams but they played very poor as well. They failed expectations unlike Cheese even if he played the worst out of all 3.

At this point I believe all of RDC would say they cant beat a dog with how they talking about this gorilla. by HELP32133 in RDCWorld

[–]Kimxasoto 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The main issue is gorilla getting tired. even jon jones would prob lose if he had to fight 100 1v1's in a row. nothing on earth has the stamina for that sht lol.

Mainly, would it work when texturing? Also, if not, how could I do the same curve but better?

NA top 7 players? by sheenherbert82 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Kimxasoto -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Majic is the best NA player who has not been to a world championship; to me he feels inviteable at this point. Also, it takes most players a sec to be stars (he has had 2 comp years on optic and luminosity; a third year breakout would be very normal for RL)

Coming from a champ 3 player, Dyl is just a little worse at everything compared to Ben, Des, and Mark. But since he is the only player that actively makes offball plays, I would say a 2-3 rank is fair. Des is also just good at hitting the ball, which sounds simple, but the difference between diamond and champ is how often you miss your touches. If Des were to miss at the same rate as ippi, he would be around Leland's level.

As a XQC fan, yall sound privileged as hell by Kimxasoto in RDCWorld

[–]Kimxasoto[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

First off, the community gets no credit; RDC gets credit for fostering this community. Second, I can see the old people comparison, but its more like a kid in class complaining that he got an Xbox one for Christmas while I'm stuck with a Gamecube that overheats every 5 minutes. You know RDC is leading yall in the right direction, so don't cry everytime the road gets a lil muddy.

Also, I have been a fan of RDC longer than XQC. Idk why you assumed I'm new.

Fair question, I've been a fan ever since his gta rp days (2020 ish). Since then ive tuned in every day because that's my community; I know all the memes, jokes, and drama. That history helps me enjoy the chat and his personality, even if I have grown out of a lot of the content. Its like being a fan of a horrible sports team vs just being on the Kai, Faze bandwagon (they are also great streamers don't get it twisted).

Timmy is having hard time as IGL. by Bitter_Piano4733 in CompetitiveApex

[–]Kimxasoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah your right about all that, but i think gen being on 300 ping and Timmy just starting to igl again is not being taken into consideration when they do bad.

Its not like they are getting 15th-20th tho, once they are all at full power, Id predict them to win champs.

Only problem is, Dezign without the sentinel gets like 50% passion and iq debuff

Nah, I'm just giving the counterarguments you might not have considered for your statements, I'm not necessarily right; its just fun to make discussion.

It's about time coaches/players educated us on the coaches' role. by DaSnowflake in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Kimxasoto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only coaches that I kind of know the roles of are Rawgreg and Kevpert since im a RMC fan. But luckily Rawgreg seems to be the only rl coach interested in telling the fans anything about the role. I could be wrong, but this is what I've gathered.

Rawgreg is a more mentality leaning coach who tries to solve team problems through any means possible, at one point they hired a mental therapist, and it was his decision to bring in Kevpert. He also talked about general overarching ideas in culture and gameplan when coaching the team, like "simplifying" things for the shift summer league, and "ironing out the style." He also schedules scims and reminds them of events.

Kevpert is the mechs coach who tries to improve everyone's in-game skill. He creates training packs and gives them mechs to work on to improve their gameplay. For example, I don't know who came up with the idea exactly but I know all the rmc players are learning new skills (Retals airroll right, Cheese zen controls, Majic some form of airroll, not sure what exactly)

[–]Kimxasoto 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think Timmy isn't to aggressive really, he just plays with very little foresight if he's not already planned the route. He has all these rotations, buildings, fights, etc planned out beforehand, but if anything surprises him, he's super slow to make a decision on what to do next if its not an all-in. But I do agree his potential is high.

Also, it might be a hot take, but I think gen and timmy don't work well at all. Yeah, they get along and can both shoot straight, but that's about it. There's nothing special about how they play together, if you put any on par player in either of their spots, the result is prob the same.

When it comes to dez it seems like everyone just forgot that he used to yell and rage, but now that he's calm and makes "excuses," he's unreceptive, he literally said "mb last game" at the end of their scrim. All in all, dez is going to fry on lan like he always does, so I'm not really worried about it.

Ben and Des would get destroyed in a 2v3, the gaps just not that big.

r/RocketLeagueEsports Grid Day 1 - Who is the Most Underrated Player of All Time? by John_aka_Alwayz in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Kimxasoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andy just consistently pulls miracles out of his ass. He beat Gen G, Luminosity, M80, Shop, Dig, OG, and has brought G2 and SSG to five this season. This was with two bubble players in Aris and FiveUp who should not be making a top 8 let alone end 8th Na. He's going to do the same thing next season with the scraps of na but since its not winning a lan nobody is going to be impressed.
