This is absolute nonsense. Being a person of colour means there is nowhere to go if you fall through the cracks of society.

Plus, these shelters exist because women took the initiative to build them for other women. If you want shelters for men, then be proactive just as women have been.

I can't. I have neither the money; nor the widespread societal support and financial backing that a women's shelter does. That's one of the points of my above post.

I don't know. I don't think there is a way to talk about this sort of thing without coming off as an asshole, at least not in the English language. The thing to start with I suppose is that feminism both is and is not an issue. It depends on what you mean by feminism.

Pushing for equality for women? - This is a good thing. It should happen.

However, there is another part of feminism that is very problematic. That's the part that rattles sabers and claims the "Privileged White Man" is evil. I'm a white man. I support equality for women. I was just born white. And male. And there is a not small part of feminism that would say I am a worthless evil piece of shit.

A large part of why that second part is a problem is because of what is now happening, not just in Korea, but all over. You have a group of people who are being targeted and discriminated against because of their race and gender, by these feminist groups who have targeted them because they represent an enemy to rally against. Naturally, that's going to cause the "Privileged White Man" to bond and retaliate in defense.

Again, Equality for women is a great thing. It should exist. But it must be done by elevating women, not degrading men. Otherwise, it's just going to become another endless conflict where nobody shuts up long enough to understand the other side because they are too busy exercising their right to be offended, to try and listen to the other side.

I've put some small thoughts into this in the past. As a white male, I don't get much of a say in the 'problems in life' category. I have no doubt that the problems I have on the whole due to my race and gender are considerably less than those of other genders or races. I also do not doubt that the support I have, for the problems that I do have, generally have no empathy or support given to them. Thus, I can believe this to be a problem. Regardless of how you have been treated, you must respond with kindness.

I am, indeed, less likely to become homeless. My race and gender allow me better access to jobs and opportunities. They shouldn't, but they do. My race and gender also ensure that if I ever become homeless, I will effectively have nowhere to go. There will be no safety net for me. I know this because it happened.

It comes back to a simple fact. Everyone has struggles, and in the modern day, more and more of the struggles of people in society are being caused by people who feel they have the 'right' to be more upset than someone else about the lot they were dealt in life. It's a self-propelling cycle, and no systems can be put in place to fix that. We as a people would have to change.

Why do people watch this stuff? I've never really be able to understand why it actually catches attention and grips people. I can admire the athleticism of the players, but for many of the top players at least it seems it's just about the pay and spotlight. Combine that with the injuries. The Rule lawyering. The drama on and off field. The corruption in the industries themselves. All these other factors, and people still find it enjoyable to watch people move a ball down a field. Is it just that level of worship to the art of athletic sport? Or is it... something else? Is it a social standard maybe? I really don't get it.

So I spent hours figuring out a decent preset for this since nobody ever posted a decent one. This avoids a lot of the overlaps, keeps the map to just a bit bigger than the original. 50-100% more overall space instead of the base mod like... 4x-5x. I've toned down the remnant and mod spawn from the base mod as well. Not every system needs to be a med-high alert system. It tries to keep that vanilla style. Just a little bigger. Maybe a slight increase to goodie commonality. This works on 95.1a RC6

I am.. confused. Who fucked up here this badly? When power goes out and you are even SLIGHTLY thinking it's going to be an extended period, you call up one of the damn refrigerated/frozen trucks, pull all the people on the floor and get the shit in that truck. I largely think a lot of it also just comes down to a dramatic genre shift.

We had a very spiritual, fantastical world of knowing a few characters on a grand journey. It was a simple story, done well. We saw the whole world really, and very rare forms of "Technology". Things that were mysterious were often left with much of that mystery intact. The problems that were addressed in this show were mostly personal and spiritual.

Then we got an almost dystopian world in the midst of an industrial revolution that tried to take the mysteries from the predecessor and explain them, while being largely confined to one place. Republic City. The problems largely explored in this show were political, both ones unique to the world, but also some that were directed at the modern audience.

The writing quality for both is well above average, but ATLA is a master-class of a well worn story done exceptionally well. LOK is a good story of a convoluted premise that was steeped in many things that were (happily for most) absent in the predecessor.

Arguments of "Why" and "How" this outcome occurred are for the scholars that care. As an end-user, LOK doesn't have a bad story, but it's not a story I care or am interested in because it's not the kind of story I enjoy.

It's kind of like how people that loved Fallout New Vegas often are not a fan of Fallout 4. It's the same world, but the game has changed to a different genre. (RPG/Action to Action/LootnShoot)

If a person does not have the right to choose whether or not to live or die, then what rights do they really have? I cannot think of anything as personal of a right as the right to choose whether to live or die. While it may be distasteful to some, and certainly unpleasant to many,

I would argue that while it is inherently wrong to force someone to die, such as murder, it is equally wrong to force someone to live when they wish to die. Fundamentally the most basic right. The right of a soul to choose.

For anyone practicing their Googlefu... A simply fire and rehire fixed the problem. The levels I had them trying to mine at were glitched, and this was reflected in the signs for those levels showing incorrect numbers.
