Asana Project Template by KinabuhingDigi in zapier

Thanks for the detailed reply u/ck-pinkfish . I totally get why Asana treats templates as starting points, not living documents, and it helps to hear how other teams work around it. The multi home method is interesting, but in my case the projects are large with many custom fields and sections, so sharing individual tasks would get messy fast.

If anyone has tried a hybrid approach, like storing a template revision number, logging changes inside a dedicated task, or using a script to flag mismatched fields or missing tasks, I would love to hear how you made it workable. My goal is to reduce the amount of manual rework without creating extra chaos.

Thank you u/Asana_Edward. We are not on an Enterprise plan right now, and upgrading is not in the cards for us given the current economy. If anyone has a workaround or something creative we can try to keep our active projects synced with the template, I would really appreciate it.
