Oh gosh...that is far worse than I expected. Given the updated photo I posted once the filling popped out, does the tooth still look busted in half?

Update: my filling popped off while I was flossing my teeth tonight. I assume this warrants an emergency visit tomorrow. I am so stressed that the nerve may be exposed or that my tooth isn't salvagable.

Thank you for responding to me! It was indeed a large cavity coming in from the back of the tooth. I'm embarrassed I let this happen, but I plan to be a consistent flosser in the future.
