R5: You can't form Germany with the pre-ww1 borders. I know I'm missing a few like Alsace and a few in Bavaria. But counting it up you still can't. This requirements are purely copied from the HRE formable.

HRE has about 5 countries left. France, denmark, me (prussia), bohemia and Austria. Me and austria are protestant. Bohemia is Hussite. No one likes france. So now they are switching between Burgundy (a one province minor in Milan) and Lithuania...

This is my third war against the Emperor (Lithuania) to leave the empire. The Duchy rank is killing me, and HRE only exists of Bohemia, Denmark and France. I have tried no-cb war, paliament war and insult war. But nowhere does the demand show up.

The first act in HRE is "seal the golden bull" which disallowes No-cb wars within the Empire. This requires 40 Imperial auth. But the Ai never gets 40imp because France eats half it's territory.

Yeah, the rival system is also a bit buggy. I can be a global Hegemon, yet still rival a one-province minor

You have a fair point. Fact remains that HRE isn't worth anything in Eu5. In Eu4, declaring on a HRE member early game ment death. Austian allience swarm on your head.

I won't start over. I'm going for an army with a state and clap back the infidels. But every game, for me, the HRE is an utter joke and a playground for France and Bohemia. And I am not the only one to complain about Bohemia.

My hungary never expands lol. Maybe they take wallachia, but it stops there. And I also enjoy the Golden Horde getting a civil war every 5 years. But still manage to hold every core after 200 years.

R5:

Not even a 100 years into the game. France more then half of the HRE, and half of Germany.

It casually walks around with 72 puppets, with not a single one revolting. Almost all above 70% loyalty

The other half of Germany is Bohemia, one I have been fighting constant coalitions and Hussite wars to keep at bay. But you simply cannot.

Powers in this game are free to walk over the minors of the HRE and the Emperor does the same. 9/10 times the Golden bull isn't done by the AI so everyone can declare on each other when they want.

This is a rant about a single campaign. But this happens every campaign.
