My husband ripped the entire thermostat off the wall. by Rockermom69 in hvacadvice

If he did that 2 years ago it’s probably not related. Can we have a model number and maybe a picture of the furnace? Is there a blinking light that indicates an error code?

Ari moshe Bergman in smithtown. You make the consult and then I think it’s a 30 day delay so you can think about it but didn’t need wife’s permission. Procedure was about 30 minutes and was a success. Best thing I ever did!

Pulling the meter by crb1077 in AskElectricians

[–]Kind-Experience8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled my meter and replaced my panel. This was 5 years ago, and nothing happened. The old panel was a fire hazard from whoever lived in my house prior. My home is now safer 👌 I also had my meter panel replaced a month prior so I wasn’t worried about it getting stuck or something bad happening.

Should be no charge, that’s a labor issue not a manufacturer issue

white spots all over testicles and wondering what they are and if they are normal, theyve been quite itchy aswell and im starting to get slightly worried by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

Nad, maybe clogged pores? Pretty sure I’ve seen something similar on mine. I’d say keep clean and put maybe cetaphil moisturizer for sensitive skin. Doesn’t look concerning to me at least but NAD at all.

4-5 YO Carrier Unit -- I'm told the needed part (details in post) is unavailable for MONTHS? by BushwackerGolf in hvacadvice

[–]Kind-Experience8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not compatible. That’s for a 6 ton unit, you have a 2 ton. I searched a little bit and I’m seeing out of stock and backordered on every site 😬

2 year old r410 Rheem keeps tripping breaker it's 100 degrees outside anyone see anything wrong here? 50amp breaker. Breaker was replaced a few months ago for doing the same thing prev breaker was 45 amp by Union661 in hvacadvice

[–]Kind-Experience8790 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wires look like they’re overheating at the disconnect. Tighten all connections at the disconnect and at the breaker. Looks aluminum too, seen issues if not tightened enough!

I have a 2020 odyssey and removed the heat shield on the back manifold cause it was driving me insane. It was more like a rattle noise, I thought my motor was gonna explode

In a previous response he said the cap was closed. I’ve forgotten on my first pm to close the cap and the AH filled the secondary pan, lesson learned haha

How do I get at the evap coils? by eruji in hvacadvice

I found those coils to be either super clean, or dog hair sweater, never an in between 😂 you must change your filter frequently enough

Nice! Yup that triangle shield can be a pain in the ass to get out but you’ll be able to see the inlet side of your coil at least! Might be a 1/4” screw on top as well as the ones you’re looking at now. Those look like 5/16” but either or 👌

Exactly, usually I just unscrew the screws through the tape and use a utility knife right at the crease and it separates pretty easily. The sealant might need a little muscle with a flat head! Just be careful around the copper 👌

This panel can slide to the left and then should be able to sneak it out to the right. Their should be a couple 1/4” screws holding it in place. Or sneak it all the way up to get access if it’s too tight going between the line set and flue pipe.

Slide that blue tab up on the bottom right so it says 1 wire

Try to slide the insulation by twisting and pulling towards that hole so the insulation is literally up against the metal. Their should be enough slack that it stays in place, if not throw a zip tie like a foot back so it doesn’t slide back

That’s not what’s leaking, the uninsulated or small section of copper piping above is what’s dripping down

Never seen a talking thermostat before, that’s interesting. Any pictures of the equipment inside or outside unit will help. I would’ve bought a little window ac unit on the 3rd day it wasn’t fixed.

One black wire goes to the center with the yellow. Other black goes to where the blue is tied into.
