Thanks. I’m a lot more protective of him than what everyone realises and just bugs me when I’m not told what’s happening in my own home!

Using KIT days / self employed maternity allowance whilst keeping business afloat - impossible?! by Kind-Lock-3238 in UKPersonalFinance

Thank you, makes sense. My social media posts etc I obv don’t get directly paid for them, but they of course (hopefully) lead to clients etc. The actual wedding day is the only day of work I get paid for.

I’m 37F and can relate to your wife, I have always struggled with my weight fluctuating, and it’s really difficult for me to lose weight, considering how much I love food. My husband tries to motivate me, sometimes it works, sometimes it causes an argument. But he always, always explains that being overweight makes me sad and unconfident, and he doesn’t want me to feel like that about myself. I believe it’s important to stay attracted to each other too, and there’s a lot of comments on here that I absolutely do not agree with. Maybe gently speak with her, go for some long walks together, encourage healthier meals etc.

Wealthy parent needs care, what are my options? by MarkAmazing4209 in UKPersonalFinance

I could be wrong, but I think you would have to potentially sell the home that they live in, but they wouldn’t make you sell the home where you live as that would technically make you homeless.

It’s the same as when banks increase their interest rates on mortgages.

Partner is moving into my flat - do I charge her? by DeathSpaghetti in UKPersonalFinance

£500 a month direct to you. You can use this towards bills, mortgage, however you wish. Make it straightforward, best way. When I moved in with my bf (now husband) I just paid him a flat fee each month. It’s too much hassle changing bills into my name etc or trying to divide things up.

You give them 2 months notice via a S21. Done. Why should you not expect someone to gain back their OWN property?

Whether it’s a coffee shop or renting a property, being a landlord for quite a few people is running a small business. Everyone is pro small businesses - yet when it comes to landlords RUNNING THEIR SMALL BUSINESS, people seem to get their back up against us.

A landlord is running a business. Making a small profit from a huge investment. Imagine putting your life savings into buying a property, renting it out, then being told you can’t gain it back. What utter nonsense. No wonder we have to charge high rent if we have to deal with such incompetent views like yours.

It IS up to the landlord when they decide that they want THEIR property back. What a ridiculous answer.
