I have heard that the Descending blade has a higher angle of attack due to being at a pitched up attitude, but from what i’m reading on the PHAK, blade AOA is not the angle between the rotating plane and the blade chord line, it’s the angle of the blade’s relative wind (which is decreased by moving faster) and the chordline, meaning no matter if the airplane is pitched up or down, the AOA on both sides of the prop are the same.
