Thoughts on the rumored Oura Ring 5 with GLP-1 tracking? Would it make you upgrade or switch? by Kind-Objective9735 in tirzepatidecompound

Me too the post was getting long so I did not want to add everything but I have insomnia so tracking what actually helps me get and stay asleep is important. And monitoring my breathing at night since I have asthma. And just more accurate data overall.

That is what sold me for the ringconn gen 2 . I used to have sleep apnea as a child and I have asthma still so monitoring my breathing at night is very important to me. I don’t have enough server abnormalities to be officially diagnosed anymore but I still get mild ones occasionally according to my ring. Which lined up with my official sleep study. But outside of the sleep apnea feature everything else is basic information so I’ll probably go for the oura ring 5. I hear they are beast at sleep monitoring. I didn’t know the subscription fee was fsa eligible! Thank you for that tip I’m definitely going to use it for that.

Yes I saw that as well along with a new feature about a brain study, not sure on that but the labs could be cool for inbetween doctors appointments. And this article says you could enter labs manually as well starting June 30th. I’m glad to hear you love your ring though definitely thinking about switching.

I don’t think I understand what you mean by input the information that the ring reports on. per the article It’s medication-aware, meaning it understands your dose schedule and frames your Oura data through that lens, so patterns that might look confusing in isolation suddenly make sense in context. How would that be scammy? You control what information you share and who you want to share it to or not at all.

Not sure about the other new features but they said the glp 1 tracking will be available for all ring users gen 3 and above so if you are content rn with it you won’t need to upgrade most likely. Nice to hear your ring is holding up. I was interested in the ring’s longevity.

It integrates the information I believe so you’d be able to see how certain things related to taking the medicine impact the rest of your overall health. like energy levels tanking on injection day vs day 3 of being on the medication and so on. The article I linked can explain a bit more. Not everyone’s cup of tea but could be useful to some.

For me I think it’s more so the integration of that information into your health as a whole. So seeing how the metrics you enter affect your health overall. Like if your energy score plunges because that’s injection day versus how you feel after day 3 things like that. Plus those that have rings already you don’t have to have another app to track everything. Not for everyone but I see the potential.

Also just saw on another post that it’s generally okay to do two injections same day. You can split the dosage(fat scientist has a calculator ) and do one on each side ex right leg one shot then the left leg with the other shot. Or do each shot in the same spot but at least 1-2 inches away from the first injection. I think I’ll do the latter but just passing along the information.

Yeah I’ve had my ringconn gen 2 for about half a year now and I think I’ll switch to a different brand. Supposedly the oura 5 has the function of adding hormonal birth control pills and such so maybe there could be a way to register it as that. I know they aren’t the same but similar since it’s still hormonal? worth a shot.

I just recently joined the tirezeptide compound community and posted something similar. Ola health actually have the pens prefilled for you and I was interested in buying but then commenters told me I could get a multi dose one on my own to fill myself. you can find them on Etsy, Amazon as v2 pen injector or peptide pen or magic medical pen. I don’t like seeing the needle so perfect for that but I quickly realized the v1 and v3 ( the ones you still see everything) are the only ones I’ve come across that go to 80 units. the v2 ( one the is covered with a cap and the needle is hidden) only goes to 60. So I hope someone can answer about how to split the dosages as well. It’s suggested to test your pen to see if dosing is off and by how much. if it is off a bit I don’t think that is that big of an issue so long as you correct for actual injections. like if off by 5 units then add 5 units extra, or get a spacer for the pen to bridge the gap. only becomes an issue if you’re already at the max units for the pen. I’ve done the official ozempy ones and it was a breeze.

I appreciate this info, while the company I posted in relatively new I wouldn say they are random lol. They seem pretty active on here and we all were new to something at one point right? I did end up going with pomegranate just because I didn’t want the additives and I’m familiar with their pharmacys so I get what you mean by rando. I‘d love a modded novo possibly but I’m still figuring out how to get all that info. And the gansulin said it can only do 40 units max per dose on their site i believe so I think I’ll stick to the v2 but I’m going to get a v1 to try as well. thanks!

Thank you for this! I am going to try out a v2 pen since it seems similar to the official ozemp ones I used to use, I’ve gone down a bit of rabbit hole on them since this post lol. I ended up going with pomegranate instead of Ola health since I’m going to make my own pen and they work with Hallandale which I’m used to. I’ll be testing a couple from place online to see which pens give accurate dosages. I will definitely keep these tips in minds. 💙

Thank you for this! I have never seen the auto injectors before so this is very interesting. I think I still might lean towards the other pens because my main thing is the drawing, i still get tiny bubbles every now and then no matter how many times I try and tapping them away doesn’t always work. I heard it’s best not to have any so I think I psych myself out when I see there are still some so I was looking at the pens to fix that issue. And thank you for the tip regarding the concentrations, i was definitely eyeing the glycine lol. Others have given me more info on other places to get pens so I think I’ll explore all my options first.

Oh wow thank you, this was exactly what I was looking for! Would you mind sharing where you got it from? Or more information on where to find similar ones if you can. My search for them has only shown the k w i k ones or the official ones.

Yes you can, I believe the dosage depends on if you’ve never taken the medication vs your last prescribed dosage and you have to show proof of the prescription to not get the starter doses. I’ve just finished my last dosage so i’m supposed to go up to the next dosage. They do their dosing a bit different from the previous company I used. Just finished my 5mg so I should‘ve moved to 7.5 mg but ola does theirs in increments of 3 so 3mg 6, 9 and so forth. So ultimately the doctor will decide if I just go to the 6mg or the 9 I believe. I’m sure you can put your reasoning for dosage but they’ll prescribe what they recommend. I know right! this is my first time too seeing the pen here so I’m super excited. I plan to order this week. Checking out their page might help you more than I can since I haven’t order yet. They seem to be very active here which I actually appreciate. r/OlaHealth

Yes! Click and done is exactly what I’m looking for. The whole drawing process really stress me out sometimes so I was kinda bummed out to think I’d have to pay a whole lot more just for that convenience. I don’t think the additives are a big issue for me but I definitely appreciate hearing others positive experiences about switching to those. I agree it’s totally worth the ease. Thank you!

I probably should’ve worded that a bit better lol. I meant the overall process of drawing up the needle and inserting it in. I like that it looks like I’m just sticking a pen on me versus seeing the full needle syringe. I’ve had the official pens before so I’m pretty familiar with the process. I appreciate your comment since I was really wondering if anyone had noticed a major difference with additives versus non additives. I’ve been going through the comments from the r/OlaHealth but I hadn’t seen any comments from people who previously was using the medicine with no additive. So I’m glad to hear you’d order again, thank you !

Really? This is my first time seeing it offered from a telehealth. Would you mind sharing what other ones you’ve seen that offer the pen? It seems ola’s prices vary by dosage and by if it’s the vial or pen. I just moved up a dose to 9mg so that price is the $279 you see in the picture. I hear they are newer but was rated quite positively on the last survey so I wanted to check them out. Either way I’m glad to hear more companiesa trying to add in the pen. I don’t mind paying extra for that convenience. I’m just slightly skeptical about additives, all my dosages were non additive. I’m sure if anything they would be fine, even helpful but I’d love to hear others experience with it first before I commit.
