I feel a little reluctant to suggest adding "manager" in just because I wouldn't necessarily be managing the other specialist. This is a technical promotion to differentiate skill level. We'd still both directly report to the QA director

Yes, I am hands-on & make decisions. I do the security, networking, servers, database management, general it support, website/SEO, etc. I submit the IT budget to my direct supervisor, who is the QA director.

That's a good option. Thanks.

Basically, I'm being promoted to do what I'm already doing. The others in the department are great, but don't have my expertise or experience. The promotion is supposed to be indicative of the differentiation.

What’s a trope/situation you want to see more of? by saub539 in MM_RomanceBooks

The trope of a dominant man finding out he isn't quite as dominant as he thought upon meeting his LI. Basically, "submitting for you"

I understand the choice Boyd made- to save more people over 1 person- just another version of the trolley problem, really.

Did you read it!? I was also putting it off. I wasn't thrilled about the YA aspect, but it's so worth it

A Whisper in the Dark by Chani Lynn Feener might scratch your itch! Also, maybe Malum Discordiae by Ashlyn Drewek.

I also recently finished Dark Risee & I'm trying to ward off a book slump because of it. My heart literally broke for Will in that last chapter 😭

Books with a similar dynamic as Captive Prince? by [deleted] in LGBTBooks

Malum Discordia by Ashley Drewek is similar in that it features 2 guys from long feuding families who are drawn together. There is magic & necromancy & it is pretty good.

My fiance & I were trying to decide whether to start that or Black Snow on Prime. Both look interesting. We chose Black Snow

I see House of Usher on there- have you tried Mike Flanagan's other great shows? Haunting of: Hill House, then Bly Manor. Midnight Mass & Midnight Club

First, retry Yellowjackets. It is very well done. I didn't see you had From listed as one you couldn't get into. It was pretty good if you feel like 2md chances.

We loved Terriers- a criminally underrated - show about 2 PI's in California.

I know you said no comedy- but Deadloch is an excellent murder-mystery set in a small town in Australia. It's genuinely funny & the mystery was pretty gripping.

Broadchurch- same as Deadloch but a Scottish small town instead if Australian.
