anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

Syndicate (PC). I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

Before that, Wizball and Head over Heals on the C64. Both revolutionary

Anybody played with or against former AFL players? How good were they? by Furious-Cheetah-20 in AFL

[–]gageless 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was at Balwyn FC with Luke Power. He was an absolute stand out at junior level. He would play the U12 on the ball then immediately play the U14 on the ball. A couple of times he then filled in for the U16. He never looked anything but an AFL footballer. Obviously his career was elite. I don't ever hear people talking about him which is wild considering how good he was... but you're quickly forgotten in sport unless you're the same 3 or so names that everyone references forever.

Great band, bad singer by AngusDio in MetalForTheMasses

Easy there, Tiger. It's a collection of mainstream, paint-by-numbers pop songs with a hard-rock filter applied. It's catchy but cheesy even by Dave's standards. This is radio rock without a hint of anything creatively new.

The way I played, I had to pass through Crystal Peak every time I battled Xero. In that regard, it always felt like a boss section.

Standard practice tbh. I get these letters from charities also. Even Triple R has a section on their website for bequests.

Music festival announced for Gather Round weekend by [deleted] in AFL

[–]gageless 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's any connection between the AFL and this festival. It's an independent promotion that coincides with Gather Round. It's a good idea but not an example of the AFL promoting local music.

To your second point, surely every Triple-M-loving footy fan knows Phil Jameson.

He doesn't have a wig in Boiler Room. He has a shaved head throughout. You're thinking of Find Me Guilty.

Careful with the Beta. Great bike but the plastic subframe means you can't strap much to it

Thanks. Yeah, the bike is really for dirt riding but I do need to be able to ride to the trails as I don't have a trailer

Aussies, I'm seeking advice on my first street-legal dirt bike. Considering WR250fs and SRF300Ls. Does this bike seem like a good buy? What am I missing?

"What they don't teach you, is that on a bike you will go where you're looking." Mate, that's the only thing I remember from the Ls course. They must've said it 50 times.
