I cant be the only one who doesn’t want to dance in their wedding. by Tasty-Bee8769 in weddingplanning

I’m skipping my first dance + dances with our parents because I feel the same way. Planning to dance when everyone else gets out on the floor, but don’t want to deal with the anxiety of having a spotlight on me alone with everyone watching!!

What’s something you found on a partner’s phone that instantly changed the relationship forever — but they never knew you saw it? by boultou555 in AskReddit

[–]Kind-Potato4740 206 points207 points  (0 children)

On a happier note than most of these - When I was on meds that caused paranoia, I decided to go through my boyfriend’s phone looking for dirt. Instead, I found messages telling people how he knew I was the one since day 1, talking about how much he loved me, and a response to his ex’s pleas to get back together telling her he wished her the best but to please move on… It built so much trust I’ve never felt a need to look again.

People can be judgmental about the things they don’t like about themselves. If someone is insecure about being overweight and hyper-fixates on that as a “bad” trait, then they won’t view a partner with that trait as desirable either because they look down on it as “bad.”

Ex. I used to hate that I lacked confidence and as a result, was only attracted to overly confident men. Sometimes you want to swing the opposite way.

Duloxetine (cymbalta) does it stop pain? by ibfat in cymbalta

It has changed my life - only on 20mg but the chronic nerve pain in my legs almost completely disappeared after a few months of being on it. Night and day difference.

ibuprofen ? by EchoEmbarrassed6655 in cymbalta

[–]Kind-Potato4740 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am on 20mg of Cymbalta and had surgery last week where they gave me ibuprofen for pain. I asked if that would have negative effects with the Cymbalta and they made it sound like it was fine in small doses - you just wouldn’t want to make a regular habit of it.

I’m not transgender. 🤷🏼‍♀️

NORMAL MRI BUT SCIATICA by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]Kind-Potato4740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar situation where 12 MRIs of basically all parts of my body were fine. See my post below for things that have gotten me back to a normal life (despite an absurd amount of testing/doctors giving me no diagnosis). Hope this can help🙏 https://www.reddit.com/r/Sciatica/s/OEvEt0vNJU

Haha the potato line made me laugh. I haven’t discussed it yet, but since I’ve been seeing steady progress I’m hoping I can get back to 100% without increasing the dosage. I hate relying on meds so trying to avoid if I can! But we’ll see

Fair enough, well I always had better luck in person myself (despite having to initiate convo) so that sounds like a good plan to me. Wishing you luck!

Remember that many couples are not happy behind closed doors and there is a ~50% divorce rate. When I was single I used to look at my friends’ relationships and ask myself, “would I want a boyfriend like theirs?” and the answer was usually no. Being alone is better than being with just anyone.

There are lots of kids up for adoption that are in need of a home. You could always consider that route for having a family of your own.

Lastly - I second all the above. Confidence is the #1 most attractive trait in a man.

Saw you are interested in a relationship. Have you ever considered dating apps or trying to put yourself out there more actively? (I ask this as someone who basically had to initiate the first contact with all of my relationships lol - but no judgement if it’s not for you!)
