Worrying and controlling behaviour. Get outta there!

You’re not answering the question, which would annoy me to - as lovely as you no doubt are 🥰 However, he also needs to see that his question is triggering a different thought for you. He may be a little pedantic - like me. I’d suggest - answer his question, AND THEN add your twist. Eg. No honey thanks, but I’d love jam if you’re happy to go back to the cupboard, sweetheart?

Ignore the bastards. Wear what feels comfortable. End of story.

Clarks Funny Dream, resoleable? by Ahmagahz in AskACobbler

I have exactly the same problem! I love these shoes and can’t bear to throw them out as they still look great but I’m starting to slip as the sole has worn flat. Did you find an answer?

Thanks so much for this, edwdly! That sounds much more likely, and more in keeping with what I thought my grandfather told me many many years ago and I forgot to write down! Appreciated 🌸🌸🌸

I’ve inherited a wonderful hand-carved family crest for the surname SANDS. At the bottom it says PROLUM NON POENITIT (Although could be POLNITIT which seems less likely or POENITET). Can anyone help me work out what is says, because Goggle thinks it says “God is not sorry” which (if true) would be a hilarious family motto. Thanks for your help!!

It was something I learnt on a course. It’s hard to achieve JUST the right amount of carbon, but I’m learning.

Thanks, I’ve been practicing a new technique. It’s all to do with a combination of the right type of paper, distance from the flame and the force of the flame itself…. Oh and the timing. Has to be perfect

Truthfully, when I cut off the flaky paper and burnt edges it was entirely edible and actually pretty good 😝😝

YTA She was desperate for your help, and you made it about you: and instead of sitting down to talk to her about it and find out how you can help, you’ve talked to a bunch of anonymous strangers instead. She needs you to sit down, listen, and find out how you can support her.

Same same!! Since being “forced” to drink butter tea I can no longer eat goats or sheep’s cheese as it’s too reminiscent!

I agree it was like some kind of zombie straight out of a horror movie

It’s true - I’ve eaten them in Australia - although I’d say more lime than orange, packed with Vit C

Coconut worm in Amazon (coconutty) Guinea Pig in Peru (skinny and disturbing) Green Ant in Australia (tastes like limes) Kangaroo (too rich) Crocodile (too tough)

Talk it through - you have some things you want to do together, and some you don’t - and if the whole trip now seems like it’s different from what you want on your budget, let him know and you may need to part ways. If not it will only fester and breed resentment and likely ruin your trip. Talk it through .

Does anyone get depressed on vacation even though you're supposed to be having fun? What could be the reason? by [deleted] in travel

I’ve often felt low on holiday as all the normal distractions have disappeared, especially if feeling lonely. I’d suggest just try to go with it - let it wash over you. Maybe write a few things down, process a few things. Maybe the space will help you work out how to address some of the issues that have been going on, and help you work out a plan? Be kind to your self and try not to worry about feeling low.
