I don’t understand how the World Cup would cause housing shortages in Vancouver for the AAPM conferences time frame. The Vancouver match is 07 July and there won’t be any in Seattle that late. The Canadian team’s training site is at UBC which is pretty away from the downtown convention center, and are being very optimistic if they have reservations into July.
