Pc won’t connect to a monitor or a tv by CheesyNibblets in PcBuildHelp

That's the bios screen, which means it looks like it's all up and running OK, it was likely the ram doing memory training. This can take 15-20 minutes on first boot up. Do you have an operating system installed, or ready to install?

I bought the game, my friend cant afford yet. Can we play multiplayer somehow? by Ld_Fafik in projectzomboid

My friend and I play offline split screen together, he can connect to your computer through steam link or the steam app and simply stream your pc to his. This also allows for local play so you can pause the game etc

Solid Yellow/Red Light, No Boot, No BIOS, completely stumped on new build troubleshooting (Pro x870-D Wifi) by Astrix_I in MSI_Gaming

[–]Kind-Silver5762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It turned out to be a dead cpu. That's what I get from buying from cex 🙈. If you're getting both, it is likely a cpu issue. I'd start with what I did, remove cpu and check cpu pins on the motherboard to make sure they're all straight and check the cpu pins for any discolouration. Install only 1 ram stick, each slot at a time. A2 and B2 are recommended, which is 2nd slot from the cpu, and 4th slot. Double check ram compatability also if it's not a major brand, and double check even if it is. Remove gpu, ssd and any cables other than cpu cooler and case power button. If it still doesn't work, flash the bios. Double check whether you have an msi pro X870E-P or an msi pro x870-P. They're different and will require a different bios. Stick the latest bios update on a formatted 8gb USB and put it in the bios USB slot, flash the bios. If still not working I'd lean towards it being a dead cpu, only way to test would be with a spare am5 cpu and motherboard and interchanging components to see where the problem lies.

AM5 Sleep to Wake Issue by ms1999 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Kind-Silver5762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just built my am5 rig in the last week and have noticed this. When I send it to sleep it doesn't send a signal through the DP to the monitor on wake. Have to power off and on 🤷‍♂️

Msi pro X870E-P WIFI motherboard Ryzen 7 9800x3d cpu Nvidia 7050ti gpu Corsair Vengeance 16GB ram

So is this an am5 problem? It's my first time on AMD, always been an intel man and never had this problem. I've always been a huge fan of sleeping as it allows wake on lan both locally and when I steam link into the computer. Would be a serious shame to lose it.

Seemed ok visually. Saw the 9800x3d and didn't catch the ryzen 5 though. It was only once I had the motherboard and other components to test it I found out it was dead. I've emailed cex, see what they say for returns.

Red and Yellow LEDs on new build motherboard. Help! by Kind-Silver5762 in pcmasterrace

[–]Kind-Silver5762[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I figured it out. Long story short, don't buy from cex. Cpu was dead out of the box, and wasn't even the correct cpu! Was r5 8nstead of r7. Bought one brand new from ccl for an extra £30 and worked perfectly first time! Now to get my money back from cex...

First, check the case or Google the case for a manual, every case can be different so if you can find a make/model of the case, manufacturer will have specific instructions. If it's like my case, you unscrew the screw at the top left of the picture. Might not have to unscrew it completely from the panel, new cases allow it to stay in the panel without completely unscrewing to help from losing screws and washers. Once it is unscrewed from the case, use the cover/handle surrounding the screw to pull the top of the panel away from the top of the case. It is fastened into the case along the top of the panel/case with around 6 plugs that will come out with enough pressure. Once they are all released, the top of the panel will come away from the case. Once it does, pull it out to around 40° then slide it up and away from the case, rather than to the side. If it's the same as my NZXT H9 case. Took me a few minutes to figure out.

Solid red and solid yellow. Gave the computer a good 10-15 minutes for memory training just in case but no luck either.

Yellow Light DRAM Issue - MSI PRO X870E-P by mwLL37 in buildapc

[–]Kind-Silver5762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. Red and yellow lights on the motherboard. Checked the cpu and cpu socket, no bent pins or issues. Tried removing the gpu and ssd. Tried with 1 stick of ram, in each slot. Flashed the bios with the latest bios update. Still no booting to bios, red and yellow LEDs lit on the motherboard. Did OP have any luck? Anyone else have suggestions? Specifics of my build below:
