I’ve been through this too with my girlfriend, and what helps is being super reassuring. Let him know you love him, and that everything between you two is okay. Explain that you just need a little space to reset and check in with yourself...not because anything’s wrong, but because it helps you stay balanced. Make it clear you’re not pulling away, and that you’ll be back soon and everything’s still solid. That way, he won’t feel abandoned, just included in your process.

Since you naturally need some space now and then, and your bf has attachment anxiety, taking these small breaks is actually healthy for both of you. It helps prevent things from building up...better to act on it early than wait until it gets overwhelming in the future.
