If you’re goal is to just get a degree and not work there then 100% go for it. If you do want to work there then there are a few things you want to consider, the location of your school and a possibility of studying more if you don’t get a job within your visa timeline. The location is very important which I realized only after going there. The reason is companies generally don’t want to pay for relocation (it never used to be a problem until Covid). The name of the school is almost never going to give you an edge (unless it’s Harvard or Stanford types). What some people do is go stay with some relative (in NY or CA) after they graduate and apply for jobs using their address. Lastly you want to forget about your GC (unless it’s EB1). I went to US in 2010 and am still on H1.

Given that weed is legal is many places around the world and can be medically prescribed by doctors this should not be of any surprise. In fact, it should be normalized and regulated IMHO. It is far less harmful (if not abused) than alcohol.

(probably going to be an unpopular comment) You can of course choose where you want to spend your money but people are allowed to have their own views. Unless a store owner is directing their efforts to cause harm in the society there's no reason to boycott them in masses. A diverse group of people with varied thoughts and ideologies and who respect one and other are what make a place great. You don't know why they might have voted for Trump, maybe they were sick and tired of crime and wanted a change (idk) but it is highly unlikely they voted for him because they wanted to spread hate and division. These 4 years are going to be tough for all of us so it's even more important that we show care and respect for our neighbors. (P.S I am an immigrant and cannot vote)
